What's it all about?
  • Get 80% off variable percentage final value fees ("FVF") per listing in final value fees if the item sells and pay no insertion fee. A fixed order level fee of 30p and other fees, including any International fees, still apply. Promotion is valid for up to 100 listings on eBay.co.uk in an eligible category.
  • Listings must start during the promotional period.
  • Listings can be auction-style or fixed price format.
  • The promotion start and end dates are included in the email we send to eligible sellers.
  • Items must sell within the first listing period.
  • Only sellers whose accounts are activated for managed payments will be able to activate the offer.

Sounds good, where do I find the Promotion and how do I sign up?
You can take part in the promotion on eBay.co.uk. Only private sellers registered for managed payments are eligible for this promotion. If you have already registered to managed payments, you have received an email with the RSVP link to the offer. If you have not registered for managed payments you will be prompted to update your details after you opt-in. You must opt in to the promotion by clicking on this link before any of your 100 listings start.

Anything else I need to know?
eBay charge an FVF when your item(s) sell(s). The FVF charged per order consists of: (i) a variable portion (“Variable Portion FVF”) which is calculated as a percentage of the Total Sale Amount; and (ii) a fixed portion (“Fixed Portion FVF”) for example 30p. The Total Sale Amount means the amount the buyer pays for an order, including the item price, postage, taxes and any other applicable fees.

The FVF Discount in this promotion applies to the Variable Portion FVF (net of any other discounts) in respect of the eligible items’ Total Sale Amounts. For example, if you would have been charged 12.80% on the Total Sales Amount, the 80% FVF discount will reduce this to 2.56%. The Fixed Portion FVF (e.g. 30p) will not be discounted. Therefore, the fixed charge of 30p per order will still apply.

You won't pay an insertion fee for each of the 100 listings. Listing upgrade fees will still apply and will be charged according to the eBay fees policy

If you can't get the 80%, then the 70% offer might work.

I've just accepted the offer myself.

Does anyone have that nifty chart I’ve seen on previous posts which show how much you’d pay at certain selling points for each of the discounts (70%/80%/£1)? Thanks!

Voted HOT - however - my recent experience with eBay left me with a sour taste.

Bought the Pixel Pro with the free watch offer few months back.
Put the watch for sale using a similar eBay selling 'deal'.
Buyer bought it, I sent it using Evri (via eBay postal services) in the original box, took photos of it being packed, taken to the drop off point etc.
Evri delivered it and showed the box at the buyer's door.
Buyer sent rude message on eBay saying I was a scammer etc and that he'd received a phone holder and not the watch. I reached out to eBay for help, they said don't worry, not to refund the buyer and let them return the item and they'll sort it out.
Buyer returned, eBay auto refunded, I got a dodgy phone holder, I appealed, submitted the actionfraud police reference, evidence from Google of me purchasing the item, 100% ebay record. Ebay sided with the buyer. I'm out a watch and had to pay the buyer a refund. Absolute joke, what more can a seller do to show they followed all steps when all a buyer has to do is take the item out the box, take a pic with a different item and say they didn't receive what they ordered. Yes, it could have been the delivery company person too, but you know when you have that feeling, and you just know the dude pulled a fast one, it feels awful

I was on the other end of this, I purchased an Xbox and a door handle turned up, the packaging showed it had clearly been opened and resealed with parcel tape, the seller had a photo of the parcel and could see it had been tampered with after they had sent it, luckily I could tell as soon as I saw it that it was the wrong size so filmed myself opening it, also the Hermes/evri driver took a photo that didn’t show the parcel at all, just my door open. The seller found two other parcels she had sent also had the same problem so I suspect that the drop off point or local evri depot is where the items were switched (edited)

Sorry, quick question, If I revise a listing now, when it went live during this offer, would I lose this offer and have to pay the regular fees?

I never actually saw the fees listed anywhere but did opt in to this (edited)
    Mr_Fish_One's avatar
You can revise it yes. Whenever I get an offer I lists loads of tins of beans for £25 until I have something to sell so I can get the offer loaded

Not had any offers in a while though off eBay. (edited)

Can you schedule something to go live now on the 13th and get this?
    wah0007's avatar
Yes, I do it all the time. Just make sure that you schedule it to start after 12am on Friday. (edited)

I get that for the 80% and 70% deals but the £1 deal works.

If I end a curreny BIN listing, then just click to relist within the offer period after opting in, will it work? Or does it have to be a new listing from scratch? Thanks
    nostoneunturned's avatar
Just end it then relist during the offer.
  9. blinko's avatar
do you guys know if this also applies to buy it now when you have a fixed price and say a quantity of 5 units or just auctions that ar raised between the qualifying period ? thanks
    pablomozza's avatar
Single items only so you’d need to do 5 listings all with slightly different wording in the title or it’ll be classed as a duplicate
  10. Okyes's avatar
Still no luck for any of the three . Really hoping one of them kicks in tomorrow.

    Same 😔

I’m not going to get home til tomorrow afternoon, i take it I can still post items up for sale tomorrow evening and get the 80% off FVF offer? Thanks
    steve252's avatar
Just make sure you activate the promotion before you start listing.

Does this offer come up every 2 weeks or so?
    steve252's avatar
Yes. It's not regular as clockwork but twice a month is typical.

struggling with eBay as a seller with unscrupulous buyers recently basically knowing they can either force a partial refund in any circumstances or use an item then return. Recently sold a Ninja air fryer, brand new and at cost when they were out of stock everywhere (sold it as we were strongly recommended we needed the larger version) and after 3 weeks and use over christmas the buyer said it looked used (if was sent sealed/unopened) and was faulty. Didn't even bother arguing, just paid for a label and accepted the return and refunded
    Robby_123's avatar
thats always prefferable then giving in to a partial. the more sellers that do that the more buyers will take advantage of it, to get discounts after the agreed price. it really sucks Ebay has almost zero seller protection and what ever the buyer says goes.

probably account penalty along the way. Penalized accounts are not honoured with promo.

The 80% off doesn't work for me, but I clicked one of the old £1 max final value fee links, and it's worked for the period 13th to 16th
