I was about to get the pixel 7 last week but then someone on here had shown there were issues with the camera glass spontaneously smashing...quite undecided now whether to go for it with that potential. Anyone else in the same boat or more aware about this issue with the camera glass?

I know some people attempt to fix it themselves (you can buy glass replacement with adhesive for less than a fiver on eBay), but why would you want to deal with it with practically a brand new phone?

I don't like Google's approach towards this defect and lack of official acknowledgement really, if they openly admitted to some manufacturing issue and offered some solution, I wouldn't hesitate, but with their current attitude in my opinion buying Pixel 7 or Pixel 7 Pro is not a smart decision in any way.

That's my two cents - google it and you'll find loads of examples on reddit, twitter and even google forums as well.

Just looking at theupdate from the community, the total cost is actually:
    Handset cost: £149
    3 months @£14 - £42
    12 months @ £16 - £192

    9 months @ £18.32 - £165 (not 12 months)

    Total cost - £548 (edited)

I have the 256gb version and it's decent. My Samsung S20+ was equally good and now think upgrading was pointless. Mobiles these days just don't improve significantly anymore. Time to keep mobiles until they either don't work or so out of date a new purchase is worth it. (edited)

camera on S20+ wouldnt come close to this though?

Top phone. Well optimized. Breezes through tasks. Only flaw is the fingerprint sensor. Can be hit and miss. Coming from a Samsung I'm pleasantly surprised. Still prefer One UI but stock android ain't bad.

Tried this phone for a day. Coming from s21U. Display, brightness and refresh rate were a downgrade. Camera and software were great. Obviously price difference is there too. Fingers crossed for s23 series

Here's one of those deals that comes along from time to time whereby it makes sense to flip the phone and have yourself an almost free SIM for 2 years 🔥...
    innocent's avatar
Yes it does (especially if you go for the zero upfront deals imo).

Do we think it's better to wait for after April price rises to sign a new contract?
    Carney_B's avatar
Exactly my thoughts. But I doubt we'll get monthly costs this cheap afterwards. I mean £14 is low. (edited)

There is another deal with 100GB / £17 / month but with £99 upfront.Any chance we will get a HUKD promo code for that as well for £0 upfront instead of £99?:))))))

Great way to get the latest Pixel 7 if Three data works for you with very reasonable monthly cost ♨️
  19. b33tr00t777's avatar
Just last thing - depending how glass breaks - it may also damage the actual lense and that would be much more expensive to fix, I just don't think it's worth the risk.

Think title should say £149 upfront, still a great deal.
  27. nightgai's avatar
Additional info is slightly wrong. It should be 18.32x9=165. So the total should be 548
  28. TomEames's avatar
Great deal. I’m holding out for a great deal on the 7 pro though I think
  29. J_3Vh's avatar

    s10's avatar
    Yes
  31. symbian's avatar
Me too. So, can I just do the new contract and use the pac code later? I'm just worried that I might not be able to transfer number after open the new contract. It will be the real pain.
