A fast processor makes all the difference. The new Google Tensor G2 processor was developed specially for the Pixel 7 - it gives you amazing performance, helpful features and high photo and video quality. You can touch up your photos with Pixel-specific tools like the Magic Eraser that effortlessly removes distracting objects from the photo, or the Face Unblur that fixes out-of-focus faces. Add a brilliant OLED display with vivid colours to the package and a high-capacity battery and you've got the perfect all-rounder.

Good to know

- The adaptive battery lasts over 24 hours, or up to 72 hours with Extreme Battery Saver
- Snap great photos with the 50 MP dual camera or the 10.8 MP front camera with built-in flash for stunning nighttime selfies
- Record 4K videos at 60 FPS with both front and rear cameras
- The OLED display has vibrant colours thanks to HDR support, and up to 90 Hz refresh rate, so all motion from scrolling to gaming is super smooth
- With built-in Google Assistant, you can compose messages, answer calls, set alarms and so much more, with just your voice
- The Pixel 7 is waterproof with IP68 certification, so you can take it with you in the shower or in the pool

What is the minimum phone and condition that will achieve £125 trade in value?
    Crossbow's avatar

    And

You can look through what makes & models they accept here currys.co.uk/ser…tml
Or, if it is not listed - yes, these are also accepted as long as it meets the following criteria...

We class your phone as 'needs repair' if it:
    • Has slight cosmetic damage
    • Has a cracked screen
    • Operates only partly
    • Has screen bleed
    • Has signs of the screen lifting at the edges or corners
We cannot accept a trade in phone if it:
    • Does not power on
    • Has water damage
    • Is over 7 years old

For maximum trade-in value of any phone:
We class your phone as 'working' if it:
    • Powers on and off with working battery
    • Has no damage, cracks or missing parts
    • Is fully functional
    • Has no screen bleed
    • Has no water damage
    • Has no signs of the screen lifting at the edges or corners

I did it in store. It was all very easy. Your phone needs to be a1 condition to get the full amount though

Trade in says £65 for the Huawei P30 or guaranteed £100 in store. It is worth much more than that.
    Crossbow's avatar
    Crossbow
Remember the guaranteed £125 on top, so even if you were to get £65 it would be £499 -£190 = £309 payable
If you got £100 for it, then £274 payable

    £100 seems a very fair assessment, P30 goes for £100 & a little over...

Just tried trading in my iPhone SE2020 instore. I did an online trade-in estimate last night. The options were 'working' and 'not working'. My handset has a fine scratch on the front so I chose 'working', thinking they may reduce the estimate instore. The online estimate was £125. Anyway, they initially did a check on the Carphone Warehouse site for some reason which excludes trading in any Apple product (I'm starting to get slightly annoyed at this stage). The fella then told another staff member to do a separate check on their own system. Apparently the scratch renders the phone as 'not working' (even though it's otherwise in perfect working order) and reduces the trade-in value to a tenner! This took around 40mins and I was passed to four staff members. I declined the offer and kept my iPhone. So, just be prepared..

They barely looked at my P6 when I traded. The screen protector was cracked and they didn't even take it off to check the screen itself before putting the deal through. I guess it depends on the staff!

    Is it worth swapping a Huawei P30 Pro 128GB for a Pixel 7 128GB? Alternatively a Samsung S20 128GB 5G for Pixel 7 128GB?
    Crossbow's avatar

Here is a side by side comparison of the 3 gsmarena.com/com…903
Note that the Pixel 7 has no optical zoom whatsoever, this may be important to you? Also no MicroSD slot & infrared port on the Pixel 7 vs the P30 Pro.
I have a P30 Pro & might consider the Pixel 7 Pro as that has the same 5x optical zoom & is better in virtually every other way.

Using all pixel 6a , 6 and 7 and comparing them with old pixel 3a and 4 and did not notice any improvement in camera at all which suggest how its mostly computional photography which matter in the end and since google is using 12MP sensor from Pixel 2 XL to Pixel 6A then they had enough time to mastered it . I did not like the big camera bump on pixel 7 and 6A was more comfortable to hold and ear piece speaker and call quality is donwgrade. Many people compalained that voice is not clear from other end which was not the case with 3a XL using same sim card so I would say if you have old pixel 3a XL, 4 Xl, 4a 5G, 5 then stay happy until 7a release in summer (edited)

So you can trade in any old crap for £125 as long as it's under seven years old? Hard to complain about that.

Looks like you get £225 for the 6a, so if somebody's just bought one of those on the other deal and wishes they'd bought a 7...

Pixel 6 saying £240 then suggests extra 125 for buying pixel 7, Is that correct?
    JVan's avatar
    JVan
I first read it like this but then it does say OR £125 extra when you trade in eligible device and buying the pixel 7. But doesn't list what the eligible devices are!
If it is £240 trade in pixel 6 and £125 then I would like to know as that's a really good deal!

ordered this and traded my P6 via the online trade-in for £365.00 total with the extra trade in. Like the P6 but my fingerprint hardly ever works, hoping the P7 is better but at least it has face ID if not. Used a £20 voucher I had through work too so works out just over £100 to upgrade.

Can you please tell me how the trade in process works online? I was able to select the make and model and also the special offer of £125 enhanced tradein but it doesn't ask anywhere about evidence for the purchase of the new pixel 7.

They are offering 313 for my 128gb S22. So 438 after bonus. That's really tempting as I miss my old pixel, how do you go about transferring contents via USB if you are trading in? Would they let you do it in store and then factory reset?
    Forecaster's avatar
    Forecaster
The phone should be factory reset before you even enter the store, don't risk your personal data.
If you can't do this, then do the online trade-in instead since that allows you to migrate the data before sending the device in.

I have the Google pixel 7 it's good picture lasts just about 8 hours under heavy use I will say tho even with a 30 watt charger it takes along time to charge
    Shrinkwrap's avatar
    Shrinkwrap
That's because the phone charges at 20-22 watts, the 0-50% in 30 mins using Google 30 watt charger statement is very misleading.

I have to say your usage wouldn't be classed as heavy I'd you can get 8 hours out of a 4355 nah battery

    phil.willis's avatar
    phil.willis
Yep. If you look in the description for this deal and click on the link. It takes you to the trade in page.

    A OnePlus 3T in working order is....50p.

The 3T A3003 in working order is £45.

Obviously you need to add £125 on top from the trade in boost.

I had an absolute nightmare buying my 7 through CPW (same company as Currys) a few months ago. They didn't send me the postage paid envelope for my old phone for weeks which led to an ungodly number of calls and emails to their horrendous trade in service.

Do yourself a favour and do the trade in store where they deduct the value of your trade in from the sale price there and then. Thank me later.
