We've got this, great entry level espresso machine which punches above it's weight. We got it for 180 a few months ago from sage with voucher but this is also a very good price.

Copy and paste of description below:

The Sage Bambino does not compromise on third wave speciality coffee by delivering barista quality performance using a 54mm portafilter with 19 grams for full flavour and an automatic steam wand for true handsfree microfoam at the right temperature
AUTOMATIC MICROFOAM MILK TEXTURING: The automatic steam wand allows you to adjust the milk temperature and texture to suit your taste. Delivering Barista quality microfoam that enhances flavour and enables creation of latte art
FASTER HEAT UP TIME: Innovative thermojet heating system achieves the optimum extraction temperature in 3 seconds; Ready to make your best coffee without the wait
LOW PRESSURE PRE INFUSION: Low pressure pre infusion gradually increases pressure at the start and helps ensure all the flavours are drawn out evenly during the extraction for a balanced tasting cup
ESPRESSO MACHINE WITH PRECISE EXTRACTION: Digital temperature control (PID) delivers water at precisely the right temperature ensuring optimal Espresso extraction
SETTINGS: Control Panel; 1 or 2 Cups; Steam Button; Adjustable milk temperature and texture level
WARRANTY: 1 Year Limited Product Warranty; Power: 1560 Watts; Voltage: 110 to 120 Volts

Never had a coffee machine. Do you need a separate grinder to make it 🫘 to ☕️. Thanks

Don't trust the store bought ground stuff - it's almost always ground coarser than these are intended. I have this coffee machine and it's great, but takes some effort to get dialed in. If you only plan on the occasional morning / lunch coffee then get a little handheld grinder with a conical burr. I have a Hario and it's consistent but it's worth an extra tenner or so if you can get one with clear numbering on the grind setting.

After that, just be consistent with dialling in. I'd recommend 9g of coffee for a single shot or 18g double shot (big or small baskets in the box). Stick your cup on a scale, zero it, throw in beans until you get the right amount, then cup to grinder, grinder to basket, basket in the machine and coffee back to cup.

Roughly dial it finer until the coffee comes out muddy or fails to come out, then dial it back little by little until you get a good cup.

Once you have a general dial setting for a good cup, you won't be far off perfect if you switch beans so you can play around a bit at that point. Aldi / Lidl tend to carry coffee cheaper than elsewhere for experimenting. If you're happy with those, great. If not, they also have local roastery brands cheaper than most. If you're still not happy, buy direct from a roaster and drink it the same month it's roasted.

Good price. Even with the sage codes and offers its only been about 196 final price, so I'd say this was a good price.

Scratch that. It's 170 on sage direct with one of the 15% off unique use codes, available by emailing Kev @ Kevs coffee blog.

I have this and although it makes great coffee. The vibrations always move my cup away. So I have to hold it under. Although it is am espresso cup, so that may be why?

I also bought the pro grinder. And the coffee is so much nicer.

I prefer the sage big models but for these types I would highly recommend Delonghi Dedica much more robust and better if you wanna do barista type of coffee

I would disagree, bambino has been the preferred choice over dedica especially on reddit.

What's difference between Bambino vs Bambino Plus? Which one is good?

The espresso will be the same. The plus version has an auto milk frothing function which is excellent

I got this and Sage control pro grinder to go with it that was around 110£ and it does the job well.

That's what I've been using - Bambino and Dose Control Pro. Just pre-ordered the new Baraza Encore ESP, as it sounds like a big upgrade, so fingers crossed!

Amazon seem to have used the Bambino Plus description on this listing by mistake. There is no automatic milk steaming with this model

I have had one of these for years and it has been incredible value. Use it every morning. Only had minor hiccups with it. Great deal for a great little machine! Heat added

Ideal if you like milky coffees (latte, cappuccino, etc.) but don't want to have to steam the milk yourself.

The plus version has the (very good) auto milk function. This one requires doing it yourself

Last year I was working in Vietnam and the office used a Delonghi expresso machine which was excellent, quite possibly the best coffee I've ever had at work.
Bought one, as soon as I came back to UK and still have not found the idea coffee to go in it yet!

The creatista plus is much better for £100 more, greater investment

Using the voucher mentioned from Kev Coffee I got this direct for £38 more with a better warranty (or £68 more if buying from Sage):

THE DUO TEMP PRO - BRUSHED STAINLESS STEEL £237 after discount
? Not sure if I should have just gone for this deal but seemed a better machine for not too much more and a longer/better warranty?)

If the description is correct, "Voltage: 110 to 120 Volts" it won't be much use in the uk.

Just walked over to it to check. Looked, tapped and shrugged. Is it thin metal, or painted plastic. I'm not sure.
At this price point, does it matter?

I've had this Krups machine for about 5 years Krups Opio Steam & Pump XP320840 Espresso Coffee Machine, 1.5L, Black, Cappuccino amzn.eu/d/4…dRq

I make a flat white once per day with a bit of steamed milk. I use ground coffee from M&S and generally like the taste. What would I be getting that is different with something like this Sage machine? I know the Sage is vastly superior, but if I didn't want to spend another £130 on an electric coffee grinder (yet) would it still make appreciably better coffee/steamed milk etc? £170 with the code seems like a very good deal.
