XBOX Wireless Controller - Remix Special Edition. Includes Xbox Rechargeable Battery + USB-C Cable (in the box - don't add it separately) which is usually worth around £15-£20 on it's own.

Free delivery or free click and collect available. Currys are currently running a promo for free next day delivery which is usually £4.99.

Instant replacement cover (3 years) is available too for £12.00. Might be of interest to some due to the quality control of modern Xbox controllers!

This is the best price I can see by a mile. Currently £70 on Amazon and Smyths, and £75 direct from Microsoft.

Just FYI, I literally just ordered at this price so seems it's still available?

The first rule of buying a controller is: always buy the insurance cover, you will need it...a lot..
    bOOtsaleBandit's avatar
To be fair to currys the instant replacement thingy is spot on saved me a fortune in controllers ive used it once already and still another 2 years to go on the 3 year plan great value

Does this work with the legion 5 to play xbox games? seems like a good deal with the official rechargeable battery bundle as its £50 everywhere else just for the controller (edited)

It's an Xbox controller, of course it works with a PC.
  6. kenny009uk's avatar

Regularly see controllers for 34 to 40 on here...i don't see why I'd pay so much more for a battery that's a fiver at most on eBay tbh
    deleted2679383's avatar
Where are you seeing the official play and change kit for a fiver?
  10. Manimal's avatar
Does this definitely come with the pad and cable? Looks like you have to add the bundle to get the battery and cable?

Will this controller work with s series?
    jack201's avatar
    Yes
  12. JasonRathbone's avatar
It does t include the battery you have to add that with comes to 80 plus pound then.
    danceswithhorses's avatar
The 'remix special edition' does come with rechargeable battery and charging cable, as per OP's title and description.
OP specifically says 'Includes Xbox Rechargeable Battery + USB-C Cable (in the box - don't add it separately)'

Does anyone know how it feels? I hate the feel of the plastic on the normal Xbox controller, especially the bumpy grip at the back. I read this feels differently.
I have an old special edition Gears of War 4 Xbox One controller that feels amazing and is smooth, but it's got stick drift now unfortunately.
    johnwillowlfc's avatar
Stick drift is a pain. But if you like your current controller maybe consider getting it repaired as the thumbstick modules can be replaced to cure the stick drift problem, and usually cheaper than buying a new controller.

    Still in stock btw

How does one go about getting Amazon to price match this?
    Nujol's avatar
You wait and see if they price match it. AFAIK no way to request a price match for Amazon.
  16. danceswithhorses's avatar
Just checked using Curry's link, and this is still available at 54.99, at least in my area

Stopped buying Xbox controllers after I got two where the Y button just refused to work after a while, well documented fault.
    Nujol's avatar
    Y was that?
  21. odiedodie's avatar
Would be nice if they released a rechargeable battery for all controllers and not just when they want to virtue signal (edited)
    Artorias's avatar
I use rechargeable double As and prefer it to Sony’s approach. Means I don’t need to replace the whole controller when the battery life deteriorates, I just replace the double As I’ve been recharging.

    Hideous.

PSA: these are not so good for younger players as the ABXY buttons are not coloured.

I found this out when my daughter was 8 and she had her ‘own’ red controller. All the buttons were also red and she was constantly double-checking which buttons to press. Made her use the standard controller instead and it was much easier for her.
    rimz790's avatar
Tbh, we all play without looking at controllers, but once you know the relevant buttons through muscle memory the missing colours to an extent doesn't matter. The PS5 dualsense controller's square/triangle/circle/cross buttons are the same with no colours and the Switch Pro controller buttons the same, no colours used. (edited)

You're welcome! Was just looking around for a new Xbox controller myself and stumbled across this. Thought it was a great price for what's included.

Brilliant was after a new controller! Also redeemed from points on xbox so cost me 34.99
    Sim80's avatar
How do you redeem points off xbox?
  29. mattlong37051's avatar
I stopped buying collectors edition games but I’m just as bad with these since getting an Xbox this will make my sixth Series Controller, Microsoft stop releasing them
  30. Royvedas's avatar
It's a thing of beauty. Still I prefer to get the cheaper "regular" colours as the beautiful colour scheme won't get me more comfort or more frags, but I get it. I really like it. Perhaps - no, it needs to be even cheaper!
  31. jetskichimp's avatar
Don't need another controller have so many already.
Want it , waiting for Amazon to price match to use up a couple of gift cards.
  32. MØĐ3RNS4V4G3's avatar
I'm too boring to buy a controller that doesn't match my console so I just stick with the black original one. Just thought I'd share that information 🤷
  33. Y_G's avatar
Ordered. Got 2 pads but only 1 with a chargeable battery meaning i never use the one which came with the console. selling that brand new basically to CEX to offset the price of this. dark green is my favourite colour, had to do it.
  34. mrb30's avatar
Nice one, bought for 34.99 after redeeming points for £20 in gift cards, great deal! Thanks OP.

Fugly, hopefully they were U2 CDs.

  37. kelvin.trodden's avatar
Great price. Was looking around for a new play and charge kit as mine stopped charging again! And can never have to many xbox controllers. Thanks for posting.

Love the colour of this, if I didn’t have an elite controller I’d have purchased it. Head added!!
  39. pfagan10's avatar
Please no Time Machine responses, but it’s weird that towards Christmas these and Dualsense controllers drop to £30-35, yet mid year there are never any discounts. Would pick one of these up if I didn’t have an elite. Heat added.
    Nujol's avatar
I’ve never seen a Microsoft Xbox controller including a rechargeable battery and cable for £30-35, new. Could you point me to the previous deal you are referring to please to support your claim? Thanks.
