Are these powerful enough for car mechanic use, or are they a different tool altogether?

Maybe but you would probably want an impact wrench for car stuff

I’ve had this impact for a number of years but you can now get the more modern 887 for this price or less.

The 887 also comes with the 3 speed switch, which I have found helpful in the smaller 12V impact driver, I would want it with a more powerful 18V. (edited)

The 887 regularly drops to around this price and has more torque. I’d recommend the 887 over this

Wait for this months eBay codes , they come up every few weeks. (Today by chance , 15% off, max £75 off )
Got my second 887 for £58 last week . Think i paid £55 for the first last year .
Was fed up of not having a drill available when I leave my tools at work , so now have 2 .
Was going to upgrade to the latest 850 but it's exactly the same spec as 887 , just smaller , not worth almost 3 times the price .
Great value tool the 887 , get one (edited)

I got my 850 for around £90. Whilst it’s the same torque etc as the 887 I’m sure I read somewhere the electronics were ‘upgraded’ whatever that means.

    887

Is this the 887? If so £49.99

Although based on the reviews I wouldn't actually touch that business

I have this a couple years, light and powerful. You end up using a driver far more than a combi drill
