    why is anyone buying lightning cables at this point in time when everything will be USB C on a mobile phone pretty soon, September is around the corner.

    You do realise that not everyone with an iPhone buys the latest one every single year right?
    The majority of iPhones in circulation will still be lightning based for the next couple years.
    Besides, should anyone that needs to replace their charging cable just not charge their phone between now and September? (edited)

    AliExpress. Baseus is the the one I purchased previously and it lasted ages, only breaking after my puppy chewed it up, other I gave away, and one other one is still going very strong. It’s been about a year. They now have fast delivery, which could be 11 days or 15 days, but that either requires to pay for the delivery or some listings tell you that speedy delivery will be available if. You spend over £8.20 which will be 2 or 3 cables. On average you could buy Baseus 2m for about £4. So, either 2 2m and 1 1m, or just 3 2m cables. Make sure you check them straight away, as I once had cables from Amazon, a pack of 6 (3m x2, 2m x2, 1m x2) and 1 cable didn’t work, however I didn’t check them all straight away and when the time came when when I needed the next cable - one of them didn’t work and it was past the 30 days already. Was more like 6-12 months.

    We use the IKEA iPhone chargers. Braided, different colours available so the kids know which is theirs
    £8 last time we bought them. Had no issues at all with them at all.
