Scratches and swirls are the most common paint problem that car owners suffer across the UK. But these annoying marks are easier to remove than most people think; all it takes is the right product, a little know-how and the correct accessories.

Ultimate compound dramatically reduces the time and effort required to restore heavily scratched and swirled paint. Meguiar's exclusive micro-abrasive technology works fast, but is safe for all finish types.

  • The ultimate product for removing oxidation, scratches, water spots, and blemishes without scratching
  • The micro-abrasive compound cuts as fast as traditional harsh abrasives restoring surface clarity without scratching or swirling
  • Formula dramatically reduces the time and effort to restore abused or neglected paint finishes
  • The best way to removes swirls, light scratches and clean your clear coat.
  • A polishing compound that is safe and effective on clear coat and single stage paint
  • Can be applied by hand using the Meguiar's X3080EU Even Coat Applicator or by machine with the Meguiar's MT320 Dual Action Polisher

How to apply using Meguiar's Dual Action Polisher
1. Attach the appropriate compounding pad to Meguiar’s Dual Action Power Polisher (MT320)
2. Dispense an X shape of Meguiar’s Ultimate Compound directly onto the pad.
3. Place the face of the pad flat on the paint. Turn on the polisher and begin buffing using light to moderate pressure in an overlapping pattern while keeping the pad flat against the paint at all times.
4. Work a small section (60cm x 60cm) at a time, until the Ultimate Compound starts to turn clear.
5. Before moving on to the next section, use Meguiar’s Supreme Shine Microfibre to wipe away any product residue before it dries.
6. Follow up with polish and wax such as the Meguiar's Ultimate Polish and the Meguiar's Ultimate Liquid Wax.

Safe to use
Meguiar's Ultimate Compound is completely safe to use on both single stage paint and clear coat finished paint

Can be applied by machine or hand
Either use by dual action polisher with the Meguiar's MT320 or apply by hand with the Meguiar's Even-Coat Microfibre Applicator Pad

Revive neglected paint
Formula dramatically reduces the time and effort to restore abused or neglected paint finishes

Restore clarity
The micro-abrasive compound cuts as fast as traditional harsh abrasives restoring surface clarity without scratching or swirling

Actually used this yesterday for the first time with a £10 Amazon 3" drill buffer attachment kit for paint correction and shine. Results were astonishing.
Right side of the bumper is done, left side washed not yet compounded. Usually see this for £13 at best. Will order a couple at this price. Thanks for posting.

Out of curiously, do you take it to the machine wash/self wash at the petrol station?

I’ve got this myself but only use it on cars I’m not going to hold on to. It’s alright but It contains silicons so fills the scratches rather than completely removing them and doesn’t cut as good as
    Menzerna products.

Would you recommend Menzerna products for cars you are keeping then?

This is a very good product been using it for a while. Works well with the Meguiars polish to give a deep colour.. For best results clay bar the car first

    Is this similar to T-cut?

T-cut is a bit more aggressive if you have a older car.

Would this work on a silver 23 year old beetle.  Paint on body faded and peeling in places.

T-cut is what we used to do first to restore the paint work of older cars. Lot of elbow grease even with electric polish machines is required to restore heavily scratched and swirled paint. Normally it's the clear coat that starts to peel off. If you are not too bothered about the car then yes, T-cut, then polish and finally waxing will restore it for few more years.

If you intend to keep the car for long term classic car then I would advise to get a professional paint garage to look at it to re apply clear coat.
