We've got this car and bought it from this company.

For £22k what other brand new family car comes with heated seats, electric boot, blind spot warning, rear cross traffic alert, adaptive cruise, reversing camera and sensors, keyless entry, electric adjustable seats, auto lights/wipers, electric folding door mirrors etc. List goes on. Interior is quite luxurious in all honesty. Exterior is bland but it is not ugly imo.

Really happy with the car and perfect for a small family. Worth noting this is the pre-facelift model. It may come with a sunroof (they stopped doing them recently but some are still coming from the factory with them on), the company will know before you order if you ask them. Also has a temporary DAB dongle which is connected to the USB port but MG are (supposedly) going to rectify these with a new module.

Think MG are gaining traction here in the UK with this, the MG4 and announcement of the Cyberster. (edited)

The EV future will below to China. MG is just the tip of the iceberg, the next few years will see an explosion of BYDs, Nio's, XPengs and other SAIC models on our streets.
To see how far Chinese EV's have come, take a look at the battery swap technology in Nio's that has recently come to the scandi countries. I had the pleasure of driving an ES8 in Norway recently, the car was on another level to a Tesla Model Y I had driven some time back. They already have 1000+ swap stations in China and the network is expanding in the EU.

Used this company before. Highly recommended. Genuine good discounts (can not comment on this particular car though).

    7 year warranty.

Will they even be around in 7 years?

Their sales had grown almost 70% in the UK last year so I don’t imagine they’ll be disappearing anytime soon.

    Remember when MG was cool?

This has to be one of the dullest looking cars on the market. The design is about 10 years out-of-date.

Nobody under 50 remembers MG when they were cool. At least the brand is on a car as good as its contemporaries now.

I've been looking at car deals recently, as the used market is super inflated atm, seems better value to buy new then a couple of years old sometimes. The recent Hyundai i30 and Kia Sportage deals were both for a manual.

For a petrol auto of this size it seems good value (only comparing against the two deals above).

If i hadn't just changed the front discs, pads and calipers on my car i would have prob gone for this (still thinking about it...).

Seems a lot of bang for your buck, cannot comment on MG personally, dealers, customer service, reliability etc though, but a good long warranty with this car. I mean.... There are worse purchases right?

Never driven one so not bashing it, but you can get a Seat Ateca in a mid spec for less than this on Drive the Deal, I would personally much prefer that even with a shorter warranty.

I have one of these and can comment that it is built to a budget. So as long as you expect 21K of car than you won't be disappointed.

I have the MG HS PHEV (EXCite) 1.5. A lot of pros for this car (as listed) but the negatives are the following: Poor MPG, 39mpg for me, small engine for a heavy car, boot is average so not practical and the info-system is so laggy, annoyingly the ac is controlled by the screen as I much prefer hand dials/controls. Do you not plug it in, as intended? I'm sure you wouldn't be stuck on 39mpg if you did.
