A very nice offer on a 2TB SSD using code - HMMJLZ
Prices are fantastic on solid state drives, pretty much across the board. Not sure how much better they'll get before we start seeing them go up again though...

Delivery is free

Ultra-fast boot speed
Make your desktop or laptop computer feel like new again, with faster boot and load times and more reliable performance than HDD.

10 times faster than traditional HDD
With speeds up to 560MB/s* Read and 540MB/s* Write, the P Series 5 approaches the limits of the SATA III interface

How reliable are these? Thinking about swapping my main hardrive out of my gaming laptop for this, it’s already got an ssd but I only use it for boot mainly as it’s only 120gb

How long is a piece of string?? One person will tell you they are reliable and have had no problems, another will tell you they've had problems and they are not reliable. It's all anecdotal evidence and the same with nearly every drive brand out there.

Best to look at if the drive fits your requirements, and go from there because general SSD reliability stats are almost impossible to come by.

320 TBW is bit low for 2TB.

I bought the 1TB V Series brand new recently and within two weeks the drive failed. I’d steer well clear from this. Adata, Kioxia and Crucial are okay in my experience. Never owned Samsung or WD SSDs so can’t comment on them.  (edited)

Yep. Especially since NVME drives are not much more expensive

    Decent price.

    Annoyingly, 4TB SSDs are still annoyingly x 2.5 - 3 the price.

This or Samsung 870 EVO 2TB for PS4 Pro?

Whichever has the better controller since the PS4 Pro doesn't support TRIM as far as I'm aware or can Google. So you'll have to put up with whatever garage collection is built in, which won't be as good as TRIM, but there we go.

My money would be on Samsung, but then again they have an awful history with software. (edited)

Can these be connected to a fire stick 4k max to utilize as internal storage? I've tried it with a couple of SSD drives but the fire stick won't recognise it. Fine with USB flash drives though (edited)

I would suspect that comes down to whether it supplies enough power to the drive, and how you've formatted it.

Few months ago I got this for 80 and it seemed like a decent price, we're getting into the zone

Might not be good for 4K video editing but a perfect PC game drive

How is SSD as media storage? Am I best sticking to mechanical drives for that?

Smaller dimensions, quiet and low power and low temp

more expensive per gb , typically faster transfer and very good if you have photo collection or many small files

    Anyone received theirs yet?

Who do they use to deliver?

If mine was sent out on Wednesday, when should I expect it for those who shop at MyMemory regularly?
