So, I have a 1060 build current. I'm a casual gamer. Not bothered about AAA max graphics etc, but want to be able to play most games at 1080 for a number of years. The 1060 is just getting to the point where it's starting to struggle. Is a 3060 a good option for price point. Longevity etc.

5600x and a 3060ti listed here for £690 plus the £20 psu upgrade will be absolutely perfect for your needs. Maybe, if you can stretch another £57 on top, go for the 6700XT as its a about equal (a touch better?) than a 3060ti and gives a little piece of mind with 12gb vram if you have any concern over 8gb, but thats just at a glance.

You know of any solid deals for a gaming pc that will play the new starfield above 60fps / 4k on ultra? Struggling to find anything that's under 3000 for a decent rig.. also I've no idea what I'm doing
    JohnnyMcJohnFace's avatar
Prob will need atleast a rtx 3080/4080 to get even close to what you're asking for.

Palicomp cards will be mostly Palits / Asus.
    - Palit 3000Series are great cards.

    Yep I have a palit 3080ti and it’s a very good card!

I’ve discovered some cracking deals but, for reasons best known to someone else, they can’t be shared here.

Hi I'm totally new to all this and absolutely blown away by the amount of work you put in to find and post all these deals, so thank you! I'd really appreciate a bit of personal advice if you don't mind because I'm looking to buy a new PC (primarily to play Diablo 4). Budget £800 or stretching to ~£900. I ideally want Windows installed on arrival because I'm lazy. I've been comparing this deal and your £829 Stormforce deal and loads of other options you've posted and wondering which way to go. Stormforce looks good (especially because of the free Diablo) but is it worth it over this? I've got a monitor and peripherals I can start off with and then upgrade down the line. Thanks in advance.

I'm currently putting away for a pc as mine is on its last legs. Primarily play strategy and city builder games (Total war, planet zoo, europa universalis etc). Could I get your thoughts on whether any of these would comfortably leave me at max settings for 3 years+?

I'm in the same boat as you. Cities Skylines 2 will launch in October and no doubt it'll be a hog. The optimum system requirements are as follows:

    Memory: 16 GB

Graphics Card: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 Ti or Radeon RX 6800 XT

CPU: Intel Core i7-9700K or Ryzen 5 5600X

    File Size: 50 GB

So to see all these deals that the likes of Sarden posts is intriguing. Plus I'd want a PC to last the next 5 or so years. (I only game in 1080p)

Wonder what rtx 3080 they put in? Especially if it's 10gb or 12gb
    hcc27's avatar
If you click on the link, it says 8GB.

Anyone knows what to do with their email warranty deals just say that I don't need it or is it worth it. I don't need the mouse keyboard etc. But 1 slot 16 GB ram and windows installed is nice. (edited)
    m3racer123's avatar
If you refuse their first offer, they should offer that package for £68 (or £48 w/o Windows). I think it's worth it for the extra 2 years warranty on parts plus they'll cover return shipping costs (which they don't on the default warranty beyond 30 days)

I've been keeping my eye on PC deals since I missed out on an amazing Costco one a few months back
But these 'build it yourself' sort of sites are absolutely baffling me...can anyone help?

I need a computer for video/photo editing. Premiere pro and Photoshop. Lots of internet browsing, often all at the same time!

I was looking at 6 core minimum, 16-32GB Ram, 1TB-2TB SSD, wifi, with Windows 11 installed. - £700 budget
(I already have large external hard drive, monitor, keyboard, pen tablet etc)

By the time I tweak some of these options on the sites it then looks far less of a good deal because the options are a bit overwhelming and the price creeps right up! I've also never installed any hardware myself so something ready to go would be preferable lol
Can anyone point me to what I should be looking for? Thanks!

This one plus a £10 WiFi card (select in options) seems to tick all boxes

HI @Sarden84, I'm looking for a computer to play Rocket League, League of Legends and Minecraft on 120+ frames on decent settings. Would you recommend this PC or similar ones? Have a budget of 600-1k. Many thanks!

I would personally hold off and keep your eye on hotukdeals everyday. I think you will get something a bit better if you can wait a little bit.

    @Sarden84

I was about to pull the trigger last night on RTX 3070 you mentioned. Then I had a check. RTX 3070 8GB with i5 12490f is £420 in China, RTX 3080 with i5 12400f is £450, RTX 3080 with i7 12700h is about £520. I am going to China for holiday this summer. I think that I will buy one and bring it back in my suitcase. (edited)
