ben_a348 better for younger kids (ergonomically). 10 much better otherwise. Our 8 might be a previous version, but the screen was worse than the 10 (although by no means unusable).

jaypee24I'm trying to figure out the same. I think it might be the age range. Different pre loaded content and different browser / parental controls. Will try figure it out before I buy!
cityslickerI know these are cheap but still waiting for Amazon to do a decent upgrade on these kids devices. All could do with more grunt, memory and storage. All relatively cheap now.
I still prefer a relatively old ipad. Which is fast and intuitive for kids.
fredthefishI think the hardware for these is pretty outdated, but we have one for our 3.5 year old (mainly for longer car journeys) and he loves it. We've got the age filter set appropriately and he can access a whole host of different educational games and kids videos (albeit mainly cheesy American ones) without us having to help him. We've never found him playing anything he shouldn't. Definitely worth it for the curated list of games for his age range (edited)

Chris_SargeyCan you use for older kids into late teens? Wondering if you can allow full access to things or is it just limited to 3-7 yr olds? Would rather this for the case than the standard hd fire 8 tbh but may be a bit to restrictive.
