Cancelled my Surfshark subscription recently as its Indian VPN didn't work when trying to renew YouTube Premium, and it either didn't have a Turkish one, or it didn't work. Express VPN worked flawlessly, however.

I like SurfShark, one of the better VPNs out there. But...you can set up your own VPN, for free (up to about 160GB monthly usage), but it's definitely not for the faint-hearted - on the plus side, did I mention it's free? You need to add your credit card details, but your card won't be used if you stay in limits (just use a virtual card with a small amount on it anyway). That's good but a tracked purchase does not necessarily mean it will get accepted. I have had tracked purchases rejected from TCB due to promo code used that was not approved by TCB.

Used a similar offer years ago for this VPN. Still using surfshark now as it's so good. I've just noticed and used a feature in it called override gps location. You have to delve a little into your settings . to enable it which they provide instructions for. I was kinda surprised though, surely all vpns do this by default? If anyone reading this that's more knowledgeable than me could explain I'd be grateful. Here's the surfshark explanation: " match your GPS location to your VPN location. Apps that use GPS to detect your location will think you're in your VPN location "

Ah cool. I'm guessing good for iplayer when you're abroad and vpn back to UK? I have surfshark but haven't used that feature.....so was it reasonably easy to implement or were there hurdles? I'll have a look into it later but thanks for the heads up......my inlaws from Brazil are about to stay with us for a couple months and they use the globo player which before wouldn't work since it only works if you have a brazil ip, so if they can use surfshark to a vpn somewhere in brazil, it may work which would be good for them. TIA

Not been impressed with SS. Mac app is hopeless. Takes 5 minutes to connect to any server. Runs through “attempt 1 of 4………. 2 of 4………..” ultimately fails in the end and have to pick another server. Some servers don’t work at all either.

Used to have Windscribe and they connected almost instantly to any server.

Took out a 2 year Surfshark VPN deal for around £47 in April, went through TCB with 90+% Cashback. Tracked within a day or 2 & became payable around 2 months later. Got over £42 back, which equates to 2 years VPN for less than £5. More than happy with that, & had no issues with the VPN service either. For anyone unsure of whether to pull the trigger, I'd say to just go for it.

Used surfshark for a while now and no complaints having paid for it.... Getting paid to use it is a no brainier!
Unlimited log ins too, use it on firesticks, phone, laptop and smart tvs at the same time with zero issues.

That's correct.

I had no issues last year with Surfshark cashback from TCB selecting US.

Just make sure you follow the T&Cs for cashback - new Surfshark account and no promo code applied unless approved by TCB. (edited)

Facing regular issues with fake location servers. For example: Trying to connect to Greece or Cyprus and youtube will show that I am in India. Reported 2 months ago to their department but nothing happened since then.
However, I won't say that I am not happy with Surfshark. You have to consider the price. Regarding to that perspective is superior to anything else out there.

I bought subscription few months ago, it doesn't work well on Vodafone when I'm watching polish Viaplay. Only browser extension do the job, app and fires stick app losing connection all the time.
