Fantastic buy, fortunately not in my size or I'd be tempted.

Reduced from £1599 which is still decent value in my opinion for this.

Available in S & M.

It is carbon with Shimano 105 gears (2x11) and hydraulic disc brakes. Weight 9kg. Thru axle wheels.

Listed as a ladies bike however the difference is the stem is 1cm shorter and handlebars 2-4cm narrower. Otherwise identical geometry to the 'mens' bike. I have bought a 'ladies' road bike before - it's marketing. The saddle appears to be the same too from the description but I usually charge saddles anyway as I am picky!

XL available for £100 more here: chainreactioncycles.com/p/v…105

The unisex/men's version is £100 more. Is it actually any different - CR vs CRW?

I'm looking for a bike with 105 or better, so please keep the deals coming.

Have you ever used thru Axle? They're excellent, discs line up right away when you have to take wheel off and on again. Sometimes change is good! (edited)

    This is an absolute BARGAIN!!

I definitely don't need another bike, but I've been looking at this particular model for a while now (as even at £1300 it was superb value).

At £1100 with Carbon and 105 Hydraulic Disc, that is the best bike-value I've seen in 3-4 years.

(I prefer the White colour, and the narrow Handlebar, and you can change the stem for £20-30 if too short!)

It's crazy good! I am so glad it's not in my size or I'd be tempted.

This for me is perfection. Hydraulic brakes, fast, beautiful ❤️

that looks like a great deal! I seem to remember paying around that for a 105 specced road bike way before brexit / covid related price hikes

Vitus put the rest to shame in terms of bang for buck.

Used is still the way to go, unless building. Got this, it’s 18 months old, and had one previous 80year old owner, he rode it once! Sold by his daughter, a dot watcher who knew the worth of the bike… I found it on marketplace after it had been listed for weeks. Really surprised I had no competition.

For my son. It’s lighter with less rolling resistance than my stupid £5k build. He can now keep up :-(. (edited)

Currently eyeing Fuji Transonic on market place, currently listed at £650. Description says "great condition", do you think this is a good deal for a bigginner and can you suggest any others that can be around £500. Normally I want to start road cycling hopping to do weekend road trips. And would like something easy on hills so I don't give up early

Shame there is no cycle to work scheme available for this

Yeah almost makes it cold if that’s an available to you. In fact cycle scheme makes pretty much every bike hot even at RRP. They’ll sell the same amount second hand most of the time.

Crazy deal, heat from me. Are bike prices starting to come down since COVID?

The seat, handlebars and shifters are set up for Fred McFred with hairy legs and a danger to be within 500m of him.

Don't think the wheels are carbon to be pedantic.

What do you think are the chances of something like this coming up again any time soon?

I'm a heavy rider and rim breaks don't have enough oomph for me, desperately trying to find an affordable hydraulic disc road bike.
