I'm currently using these and they are OK. The biggest plus being the app that works alongside it. The foam tips that come along with it are useless, I swopped the buds I had on a previous pair and it made the ANC much better. These aren't the best at anything over previous pairs but overall are the best I've had.

Comparing to Tozo NC2, Tozo NC9, Galaxy Buds+. The surprisingly Tozo NC2s (£40) have the best ANC, the Buds+ the best Passthrough and the NC9 the best battery life. It's the controls that win it for the WF-1000XM4 - I need to switch quickly from ANC to passthrough on a daily bases and a fraction of a second after I start speaking, the WF switches between ANC and Passthrough without me having to touch a button. It stays off for 30 seconds until after I stop speaking which is really handy cause I need to use my hands for other things. A quick tap of the earbud and say "Read my messages" will read all my notifications like Messenger and Texts.

If you just need a pair for ANC, buy the NC2's. If you need a pair like a hearing aid, buy the Buds+ but if you need both then the WF=1000XM4 is the almost perfect pair. If only the WF=1000XM4 enhanced the Passthrough, they would be my perfect pair (I'm still looking.)

What tips did you swap them to?

I've almost given up using warehouse. They don't check returned products so you end up getting broken items which are a pain to return. Just had a tv in as new condition.
When I got the box someone foot had been put across the middle breaking the screen.
To make matters worse it had been repaired with Amazon tape and stil had the two previous delivery stickers for customers prior to me on the box
This is the third time this has happened

Just be vary about the battery drain issue as you’ll only have the standard Amazon returns policy and might not be able to get replacement pair from Sony if affected.

Please no silly ear wax comments! They are starting to wear thin

If you're too lazy or can't be bothered cleaning them with some IPA/disinfectant, simply do the grown up thing & get yourself from replacements

You can also 'upgrade' them apparently...

Bought used from previous post. Listened so many horror stories about ear wax and nearly made me disappointed as mine had nice. Was practically new..
Can't argue about price if good or bad. I like mine and stays in my ears while walking. Btw, i did buy some new pairs of earbuds, just to be safe.

    Story time:

I bought "used-very good" from Amazon warehouse a year ago. When they arrived it was just the buds and charging case... No box, cable, instructions etc.

I started returns process and Amazon offered to call me right back to discuss. I explained over the phone and the representative said "no worries I've set the refund up just post them back using the label".

I asked if the label was somewhere in my account or being emailed to me, to which he put me on hold for two minutes, came back and said "I don't want to cause you any further trouble so don't worry about sending them back I've already issued the refund".

I subsequently purchased a pack of upgraded foam tips for £15 and they have been perfect ever since.

Things might not always arrive perfect from Amazon Warehouse, but I've always found customer services better than any other online company I've ever dealt with!

Yes Amazon CS are usually excellent and if you get a bad one, I just disconnect and try again the next day. Recently bought a Lego Technics model which was described as new, but arrived and had been built and disassembled so they gave me a 40% refund!

Has anyone used Jabra Elite Active 75t and can compare?
    neelsn007's avatar
I pretty much made this jump. The bass is not as strong but still present and a bit more balanced. Better ANC and after EQing the Sonys sound way better. I feel like the jabra had better mics. Case and buds bigger on the Sonys. Both have multi point. All in all I feel the Sonys are the better buds but if you're happy with the Jabra then no need to upgrade (edited)

    Too pricey for used

Price is ok. I don’t know how do these compare to jabra 85t.

I would like these but under £100 (Black Friday sales)
the new model is out so these prices are only going to go south .
