Features

The right cleaning mode for the right task
Three cleaning modes optimised for a variety of tasks. The right balance of power and run time, where you need it.

Powerful cleaning on floors and carpets
An integrated digital motor spins the brush bar up to 60 times a second. It drives stiff nylon bristles deep into carpet to remove dirt, while carbon fibre filaments capture fine dust on hard floors.

Intelligently reports in real time
Monitors system performance 8,000 times a second, then reports in real time on the LCD screen.

Click-in battery pack
It's easy to remove and replace the click-in battery at the press of a button. If you have a spare battery, we recommend that you swap them out from time to time, so that they both have time to naturally discharge.

‘Point and shoot’ hygienic bin emptying
The ‘point and shoot’ mechanism hygienically ejects dust and debris deep into your bin, in one action – so there’s no need to touch the dirt.

Extra tools for a variety of tasks
Dyson engineered tools for versatile whole-home cleaning, including the de-tangling hair screw tool for removing hair from pet beds, car seats and stairs.

Fade-free power
The seven-cell nickel-cobalt-aluminium battery has the fade-free power to clean here, there and everywhere around your home.

Powered by a Dyson Hyperdymium™ motor
Spins at up to 125,000rpm, creating more suction power than most corded vacuums.²

Radial Root Cyclone™ technology
14 cyclones generate forces of 79,000g to fling dust into the bin without clogging the filter, so there’s no loss of suction.

I have a Dyson V8 Total Clean. It's been really good. I just refurbished mine a couple weeks ago. Took it all apart, cleaned it all. Disinfected it all. I haven't needed to change the battery yet. I can't remember how long I've had it maybe 5 years. Battery running time has never been great, so if I could get a bigger battery I would otherwise I would change it for longer running time.

You can buy a higher capacity aftermarket battery. I have also found putting my V6s on a timer plug so they charge twice a day for 3 hours rather than leaving them charging 24/7 prolongs the battery life. My oldest V6 was purchased 2015

I have just ordered a V11 to replace one of my V6s. I kept one upstairs and one downstairs for ease of use and to be honest they have both been great, but will give one of them to my daughter now. (edited)

There is a reason why Dyson only offers 2 years warranty for handheld vacuum cleaners compared to to 5 years they do for wired versions. Because they last 2 years. Wouldn’t buy Dyson again. Impressed with shark quality and price. (edited)

I've heard similar stories about shark, 6 months where they're great, 12 where they're alright and then they fall apart.

This is not the absolute that is linked in this deal, this is the Torque Drive model.

The absolute can be found here - ebay.co.uk/itm…299

Received my v11 Absolute Plus from this deal today and very happy. Immaculate

These tend to be returned and sold in outlet for a good reason. The name for starters....the lack of performance secondly.....................

Is this the Absolute model? Can't see it mentioned.

    Hi Dan,

This is the absolute model which I got myself but they have the torque one as well (edited)

I remember missing out on this deal at the time since then they’ve increased the price on the absolute model

I’ve bitten at this price. My earlier model is finally showing it’s age and has been an excellent workhorse. Thanks for posting.

I don’t blame you, jumped at it when I saw the price 😁

It it better getting the absolute model with two heads I.e one for hard floors or does that one not have the torque head ?

You’re better off going for the absolute model as it comes with all the attachments whereas the torque model comes with less attachments

    Why?

I genuinely can't see any reason for paying £20 more for the Absolute in your link versus the Absolute Extra in this deal.

I can see that the Absolute claims to include the Torque drive head but I remember a deal on here last year where the listing included the torque drive head but the items delivered didn't. (edited)
  11. jerrysimon's avatar
I see you can buy the absolute with extra tools AND the Torque Drive head buts its £429. Is the Torque Drive worth it ?

PS Checking on line it says if you have the torque head it works for both carpets and hard floors so maybe just get the Torque Drive model for £399 as you don't need the fluffy brush (edited)

Getting confused now with all these torque drive vs absolute vs absolute extra. Can anyone shed any light on this ?
    Deaa's avatar
I believe they spec in the order you listed. Each contains the same as before with a few additional bits.
  13. jerrysimon's avatar
This link helps as it shows all come with the Torque Drive but the extra has most additional tools. I’ve now ordered to replace one of my two V6s I’ve had for 8 years which have been brilliant just had to change te battery a couple of times.

Unfortunately that article is a lot less helpful than it looks at first sight.

It covers the models in the Canadian market which may, or may not, be the same as ours.

It doesn't include the Absolute Extra which is the one that this deal is for.

It is four years old and Dyson have been known to change the spec of their models.

It is almost as if Dyson are deliberately making it hard to order things online. It almost makes me want to go into a real shop so that I can read the wording on the packaging :/
  14. jerrysimon's avatar
Ok just to confirm I’ve spoken with Dyson and this model does not have the Torque Drive so now trying to find out which does which is annoying as I have ordered it!
    Deaa's avatar
Really!? such stupid naming.. Does that mean only the torque drive has it?
  15. hotfinder's avatar
Shame the refurbished models have poorer battery life. Our last one lasted 20 mins on full power originally, then a year later just 5 mins on full power. Not buying a new one until they have user replaceable batteries in these things.
    fishmaster's avatar
You can't be serious? Why does no one research what they want to say before actually saying it! Look how literally easy it is to change the battery on a Dyson V11. No tools required you literally press a large red button and take the battery out!

On my Dyson V8 you literally undo two screws to take the battery out and there's original Dyson batteries and after market batteries. (edited)

Bought Dyson DC28c for £209.99 in April 2015. It's still going strong but broke couple of small bits and pieces here and there.

Looking for a new wired bagless which should work on carpet and hard floor. Doesn't matter if it's Dyson or any other brand.

    Any recommendations, please?

Turned up looks new but can only register 1 year guarantee. It’s a beast compared to my V6s clearly they have come a long way since my oldest 2015 one. I kept one of my V6s upstairs for spare and installed the new Torque Drive one on the wall downstairs. I figured the Torque Drive model would suit better as the adjustment head works on both carpet and hard floors. If I’d gone for the direct drive and fluffy head for hard floors I would need to swap heads from one flooring to another. Time will tell re its reliability over my V6s.

My second older V6 can then go to my daughter to replace her battered old V6 and we’ll have some spares 🤪 (edited)
