Very good tablet. Bought last week from Argos at the same price and battery life and performance have been very good. Great deal.

Cash back from where, may I ask? I got the 10% off, looks like new customers get 5% for registration?

Can you get a keyboard for this, looking for a decent tablet and keyboards setup

Is this better than a Galaxy Tab s2? My tab seems to be working pretty good, but has recently developed a dodgy charging port. It's not too much to get it fixed, but just wondering if it's time I upgrade it... Is this a worthy upgrade? Want something hassle free and the Tab S2 was just that.

Quite a bit better than Samsung. Newer tech .

Honor pad X9 or Honor pad 8???

    Hmmmm
    brochan-lom's avatar
The 8 is slightly bigger, with a bigger screen.
But the X9 is a newer model, probably a newer Android version. And maybe a bit cheaper.

I'm looking for something that is just going to be used for occasional travel use (less than 20 days a year) and something in the kitchen for recipes and music while I cook ect.

Is these any reason a refurb surface From ebay for £135 wouldn't be a better option? Is it just the risk of the condition and battery?

If I could justify it I'd get a new surface or similar, but I have a perfectly working pc and laptop so can't.

    Thanks for any help

I use mine for exactly the same purpose and it's especially good for vertical viewing due to screen ratio. I was surprised to find it outperforms M10 Plus Gen3 in games, even though synthetic benchmarks are vice versa

For £150 is this the best bang for your bucks as far as tablets are concerned? Looking for something for children to use a few hours a week.
    Professor_Chaos's avatar
    Cheaper directly from Honor
and yes I would say this is the best tablet in this price range. (edited)

See it has turbo mode which looks like it gives an extra 3gb of ram. Seems like the perfect tab to replace my ageing samsung tabA 2019.
    plewis00's avatar
Virtual RAM on Android is a waste of time and not a real solution for actual, real RAM. It probably will outperform your Tab A 2019 though, even without this.

Just got my case and screen protector from Ali. Gonna spend tomorrow setting it up. I've done the basics, and done the updates. I'm going for a clean install of apps rather than a copy and paste hopefully this will be better than my aging Fire tab 10 (edited)
    Fury_'s avatar
Have a link for the screen protector and case please?
  15. Alex5454's avatar
Does it come with the 66w charger?
    i_need_bargains's avatar
It does not come with any charger only a USB-C charging cable.

    In the box:
    1)Tabletx1
    2)Battery ( included) x1
    3)Type-C Cable x1
    4)Quick Start Guide x1
    5)Warranty Card (Dependent on frontline)x1

Its a great tablet the only downside is there's no charging unit but luckily for me i also own the honor pad 8 and that came with the charger. I definitely recommend this (edited)

This or the 6GB Lenovo P11?
  18. plewis00's avatar
Looks really good for the money - 4GB RAM is ok on a tablet but really no excuse not to have expandable memory. I guess you can work around that compromise with USB OTG drives.
    fishmaster's avatar
Expandable memory is a pain in the r's on Android though. The memory read/write speed is massively slower than the main storage and installing apps to it is painful. I guess people want to put media they have downloaded on memory cards so they have local playback. Best to use cloud storage where possible or USB OTG. 128GB is a bit paltry these days but you expect that from a cheap tablet.

This or the Oppo Pad Air?
    uscool's avatar
Honor Pad x9 120hz screen vs 60hz , 11.5 inch screen if prefer slightly bigger, cpu Snapdragon 685 vs 680, running Android 13 vs Android 12 on the Oppo ( should get update I imagine) 6 speakers vs 4 speakers slightly bigger battery on the Honor, oppo comes with 64gb to honors 128gb

The only pro for Oppo I see is it can take Micro SD

I have the Honor pad 8 and it's awesome. Really impressive performance for the money (pretty much same spec as this one). Only criticism is that you can't set up user profiles on it, like you can on other android tablets like Samsung etc. Or at least I haven't found a way to do this

  22. Hermitmaster5000's avatar
4GB kills this for me (but the price is great regardless). Now wondering how much a guy has to pay to get similar spec with at least 8GB

Is this much of an upgrade from a Samsung Tab A7?
    TheGhost's avatar
8 don't have an honor tablet but a7 and a8 are 2 or 3gb? With 32 storage I've bogg those and given the choice buying blind I'd buy Samsung only because you know it will work properly

I'm looking for a tablet that is great for outside viewing just been on holiday and now sitting in garden my phone is ok a find x3 pro but my tablet is not anywhere near as bright a Samsung tab A. Tablets don't seem to go brighter than 400nits. What's best above 11" tablet that would be great for outside viewing no more than £350 maybe £400 for right one.thanks.
    i_need_bargains's avatar
Apple Ipad 9th and 10th Gen both go up to 500 nits. Beyond that your not going to find anything in your price range. Android tablets seem to max out at 400 nits as unlike phones most tablets are designed for indoor use.

Thinking of replacing the kids Amazon fire 10 tablet 9th gen (2019) , hoping to trade this in or sell it

    Was looking at the
Amazon 11 max ( when the price drops again)
    or
    Honor pad 9x

bear in mind there only use for the basic Roblox , YouTube, tik tok, Snapchat, ect ect

I use this Honor one just for streaming and it’s perfectly fine

Does anyone know if you can run Playstation Remote Play on this and any experience of whether it works well?
    JamesDealHunter1's avatar
Having tried this last night, it does not work properly! I purchased mainly for ps remote play, and it does not recognise DualSense buttons correctly. E.g. Square button is Cross and so on. Then I directly try it on my Samsung Tab A8 and controller works fine. So putting it down to Honor software. . (edited)
