Not to crap on your deal but these go on eBay for 350-375 in excellent condition with 12m warranty if you get one of those 10-15% off codes the run once a month . I got one myself from loop_mobile and it's nearly flawless. I wouldn't take "good" condition for that price.

Ebay do have better deals but I've just always used giffgaff for there returns. I've had a few good condition ones turn up like new. But refurb phones are a lottery so no matter what you pay if it turns up like new you got lucky.

Not bad, do their refurbs come with new batteries?

My iphone se was 86% last year and already need to replace it.

~£400 for a 3 year old phone, without a confirmed new genuine/original battery, and not knowing the history of the insides, is probably pushing it now.

What I would recommend is getting one for say £300 which works perfectly fine and has not been previously opened/repaired/damaged, but needs a new battery and sending it to Apple for a new battery (£89 on the website). They often send back a completely refurbished phone which looks like new instead of actually replacing the battery itself, which they have done for my last 2 phones and 1 ipad pro. Don't use an apple store or apple certified repair shop. You'll also get a 90 day warranty from apple (at least for the battery, if not the whole phone). (edited)

Would it be worth waiting till the iphone 15 releases to get this phone or other older iphones? or would the price difference not be worth the wait? My budget is around 200-400 (edited)

Yes it would be worth waiting a couple of weeks. Plus it would be better as said by other commenter to get one from loop mobile ebay when ebay drop the 15% off codes as condition is super and cost is cheaper and for general information all older iphone drop in price when new one is released, older ones more quickly but I wouldn't say effective immediately and last year's one will take a month or 2 to drop.

Just to throw my two pence in, I still use my iPhone 12 Pro as a business phone. I’ve had it from new and it’s on 84% battery health and it’s great. Honestly can’t tell the difference between that an my 13 pro aside from the screen refresh rate and colour temp.

I have a iPhone 12, had it for 3 years which is the same as the pro minus the camera but I’ll say don’t bother as it will start to show signs of being slower in a year or 2

I think apple were sued over slowing previous phones down and stopped doing it, though I could be wrong.

With “good” condition do the components tend to be original? Ie is it likely they could have replaced the screen with some knock off brand?
    vandelay's avatar
In my very recent experience, yes! This is exactly what happened. I have returned it.

It certainly is pot luck what you get. I ordered a giffgaff refurb a few months ago and it was essentially brand new with 100% battery health. I ordered another which arrived today and on powering up iOS reported "Unable to determine if your iPhone display is a genuine Apple part". So evidently the display has been replaced with a non-genuine part. You really would have thought the giffgaff refurb checks would have spotted this. The battery health was 86%. This one is going back!

has apple changed anything since the iphone 11 pro?

do they still have that huge ugly bump that ruins the screen? do they still call it a "feature"

the 12 got 5g if you use it.

Can you cancel the rolling contract straight away?

When i ordered phones from here I just chose I didn't want a sim plan. They sent a free sim anyway but I didn't pay for a Goodybag. They might of changed it to where you have to buy a Goodybag not sure. But it's not a contract it's 30 days rolling cancel anytime.
