What are people using this for? I can just think of things getting caught on thresholds where I would be using it

I have one of each of the two shapes. They do come n very useful for shifting heavy things around. The wheels are big enough that small thresholds are not a problem.

I use my kids' skateboards for moving heavy items (edited)

You'd probably pay that just for castors.

The father in law has a set of these from Lidl. An absolute game changer for carrying anything awkward and heavy. I’ll be getting some this weekend. Thanks

I live at the top of a long banked road. I'm gonna be training for the next Winter Olympics Toboggan team. I can hear the National Anthem playing already. Cmon!

I got a separates stack hifi been adding to for 40 years,
that oblong one will do the job for moving it if I can get one

Thanks OP. These are very useful. They come round in a circle at different times of the year at Lidl as do Aldi, (whom from last time reduced them to a tenner) though Aldi don't have them again yet,?

Do you know how to shift a piano?
You hum it son. I'll play it.

I might get 2 of the rectangular ones and attach to a euro pallet at each end and attach a handle.
Saves our lads waiting around for pallet truck or forklift to move our stuff around on vendor managed visits.

Edit: just realised they have fixed castors, won't work. (edited)

I've bought many of these, the castors do swivel. In the warehouse we are using them to move things around.

Forbidden skateboard, had one leg still on the ground and nearly fell off this thing! Moves in 360 degrees

Considering the round one... I have a Skywatcher dobsonian telescope which takes a bit of lifting and carrying but as it already has a round base, wondering if I could fix this trolley to it...

Does anyone know how easy it would be to remove the castors on this then and them to a larger base? These are quite a bit cheaper than buying heavy duty castors separately. From the pictures though it's not very clear if you can remove them or they are riveted on.

I bought mine a couple of years ago, but assuming they're still the same, the castors are held on using bolts that can be easily removed. I've had to tighten them a few times as they become loose after use.

Tried to use these to move a very heavy piece of electrical kit (just over 75KG). The thing just snapped clean in half. Doesn’t do what it said on the tin.

    Didn’t happen

I had one of the rectangular ones until I just moved house. The castors are quite big so you need to be aware of that. They move freely and we'll however and are sturdy

I've used it to moving things and as a trolley to roll in and out from under the car on ramp stands, though it's a bit high for that.

I'm not convinced by the 250kg unless it's very evenly distributed however, mine just snapped in half with about 150kg on it, between the castors.

At least I can go and buy another one (edited)
