Yeah they're great for an add on/alternative way to use the board, my son loved his, you can get them on eBay these days from about £35.

    Which model, and what happened?

I wouldn't recommend a Hover-1 to anyone, we went through about 3 of them, kept failing. Eventually gave up on replacing it.

Did it fail within 1 year or after, if within 1 year it could be a blessing as you use it and get your money back

Wow, these have aged. It was only a few years ago when these were the must have gadget!

    Now it's all e-scooters and e-bikes

    Aren't these illegal?
    Dribbles_MacTavish's avatar
Yeap, they fall into the same category as E-Scooters, so only legal on private land. But that won't stop them buying them

Will thamslink allow this on train
    MRDAMO666's avatar
Apparently not. When i asked, the idea of riding this on the train ran the risk of falling off the roof on to the track…..

I agree however about annoying and dangerous I have bought one for my 7 year old to play with at his skate park and he’s always under my supervision but I can’t stand kids out alone on these or worse escooters some horrendous adults drop their kids to school on escooters none of them wearing helmets going mega fast. Can’t stand it.

Was going to purchase this along with the car attachment, but reviews around the battery life don't look great. There's also one that's more expensive which is 400w, anyone know the wattage of this one?

Can anyone in the know suggest which brand to get?
    Cuddl3s's avatar
I got one but haven't used it, considering taking it back as battery life seems to be poor around 30 based on specs but more likely 20 in reality. Problem is theres no alternatives what so ever next one I'm interested in is 180 pounds while better I can't imagine spending an extra 110 just to double battery life
