Enjoy a mindful building project and create a beautiful plant display for your home with this LEGO Orchid (10311) model building project for adults. Take your time crafting all the details of the white and pink flowers and the vase. Inspired by a real orchid, the model has 5 leaves at the base and 2 wandering air roots to create an authentic display. Build the blue fluted vase and fill it with the brown LEGO elements to recreate the bark mix that a real orchid would grow in.

Customise your display
Pose your orchid in a variety of ways by rotating the stems, blooms, roots, and leaves of the model to achieve the perfect look. Or personalize your display by rebuilding the stems to create new combinations of flower arrangements.

Building creativity, piece by piece
Discover the space to be mindful and the time to relax with buildable models designed specifically for adults from the LEGO Botanical Collection.

Why would you want that on display in your house?

    Well...
It's a very good first-glance replica of an orchid. I have it sitting in a shady corner so it doesn't get leaf-scorch. Haven't watered it at all as they suffer root-rot easily.
Well, admittedly, I was looking for something unusual to give to my wife on our 28th Wedding Anniversary in July (time flies!!!) and I came across this on offer in Smyth's Toys for £28 (yes, 28 !!!) ... serendipity!
She's not a big Lego geek but it was lovely as I persuaded her to slow down and we both relived the joy of Lego (our kids are all grown up now!) but we still fondly remember the Duplo and Lego City days. She kind of 'got busy with mummy things' when our boys were going through the Ninjago and Millennium Falcon weeks/months/years!
Flashback to the future here and we had fun again being creative and competitive without getting too messy... and without the kids interrupting!
She's such a beautiful flower and I'm so glad I don't wander lonely as a cloud any more!
And then my heart with pleasure fills,
    And dances with the daffodils.
I wonder if Lego makes a daffodil?
    Time to get busy again!
