People cook raw poultry in the microwave? (edited)
    kbnz's avatar
Makes more sense than cooking cooked poultry.

Where is it available for £79?

Mod - Account Personalisation - Is there a way for HUKD to have a setting to select a profile status so such deals only show if they apply - a Student tag or something so for a new deal there is the option to tick a box if only applies to students e.g. "EPP" and then user profiles can be ticked/unticked to view or hide such "student deals" - I imagine there are many students on here so would help them as much to see just as much as others where such unique deals would never apply to.

Obviously deals where student discount is possible would be permitted as its not an exclusive "student" deal.

I would actually buy this for £69 but as I'm not a student, i'm not eligible!

Sign up to perks at work, Totum etc. Not necessarily a "student" deal

Is this the model that you can't see through the door?
    Technan68's avatar

    Got this, it's very good.

Is it really? I’ve got a more expensive Samsung one and it’s rubbish. In context had a cheap Richard Hobbs one and in less than 1 min the plate and all contents would be piping hot. In the Samsung it takes 3mins and even then parts of the food still remain cold

+1 for a microwave with buttons and a knob, rather than all touch screen
    SJ01's avatar
    Knob doesn't get used.
  12. Pyschoprnguin666's avatar
Pretty stupid as it’s only valid for students
    skyblueox's avatar
Yeah true, I lived off a toastie maker when I was a student

Thanks OP. My student friend ordered one for me.
  17. youngchap's avatar
    Isn't it expensive tho?
    Nesima's avatar
No, try finding if for sale for less than £100 anywhere else currently.
  18. rimalpatel007's avatar
I have a previous version of this brand.
Good microwave however the issue are:
    - 60 sec only gets you warm
    - if you heat liquid it's difficult to see through the glass and end up cleaning a mess (design flaw)

exellent mocrowave - good price too

SHARP do a couple of very good ones, i bought the SHARP R861SLM during lockdown has not missed a beat and all you have to do is wipe it down after each use no turntable to clean etc.
its like a magic food cooking box, not cheap but worth the money.
    opaninkofi's avatar
Thanks. I will give the sharp a shot. I am very weary of microwaves now as had to return 2 very expensive Panasonics in under a month since my over 10 year old dependable delonghi gave up the ghost recently.

Why do manufactorers make it so difficult to know the wattage these days on microwaves ? Is it 700, 800, or 900w ?
    doppo666's avatar
    It’s 800w
  22. SB91's avatar
Not sure whether to go for this, the MW3509K for the same price or the MC28H5013AS which is a Combi oven for about £40 more.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I am in the market for one and reading through comments, Samsung microwave are not the best and possibly avoid, currently looking at the Sharp YCQG234AUB 23L ( apparently it’s flatbed as well.
Supposedly an amazing thing in microwave, you learn new things everyday, it’s in my basket on eBay with the code JANJOY15, it’s around £110, or go for my trusted brand Bosch, none of their appliances have ever let me down, decision decision.
  23. Technan68's avatar
Did you all get your microwaves
    yus786's avatar
Yes, about a week ago (edited)
  24. SB91's avatar
There's also a Microwave + oven for £109 which I'll probably go for if that helps anyone! Imagine it would be more efficient and another option for a busier household.
