IMPORTANT : The IPTV Smart Player Pro App shows and runs only the content users add.

    - IPTV Smart Player Pro doesn't offer content or playlists. It's for use with your own legal content and playlists.

    - IPTV Smart Player Pro doesn't back streaming copyrighted items without rightful permission. (edited)

Hi, doesn't this do the same thing as VLC player?
Which will play anything practically and is free.

IPTV players like this typically (I’ve not used this one) focus on organising and presenting the IPTV content in a much friendly way to the user. It will split the content into TV, Movies and Shows, if the configured IPTV service supports them all. They’ll also typically include a TV guide so you can see what’s currently playing on each channel, and what’s next etc. VLC is probably the best actual player around, but it doesn’t organise IPTV playlists very well. I’d imagine that’s a conscious decision with the stigma around IPTV services. VLC’s focus is purely on playing videos, rather than organising content. Many IPTV apps will use VLC as their embedded player as it will just about play anything. They’ll then focus on presenting the IPTV data the best they can.

Never heard of this before. Cleverly named after a very famous similar app. Looks good and can't complain. My Streams playing fine but the app doesn't seem to support Xtream Codes (edited)

This is a fake one, not official, be careful, they may be ripping dns, which can get you banned
    clavier3895's avatar
When it’s an Android app you can almost guarantee they’re doing that

Can this be used to stream Freeview channels for free?
    bazzawhite's avatar
You'd need to get a m3u link for a service. I don't think Freeview is currently available. However you can get some channels from Samsung IPTV playlist. Just Google it and you'll find the link.

There is also a GitHub with free IPTV m3u playlist you could use.

    Not worth it even free
    Weber007's avatar
I'm just curious to know why it's not worth viz someone is putting it as a deal?
  8. rimalpatel007's avatar
    Does it support xcodes?
    bazzawhite's avatar
Doesn't seem to. Only had one field for m3u link. Maybe in future it will get added. Worth a punt for free

is there a way to buy this, without installing ?
I’m using an iPhone right now
    bazzawhite's avatar
Unless you plan to use it on an android phone I doubt it would be much use. I believe it isn't designed for android TV devices.
  10. FreakyGeek's avatar
This seems a little sus. If your after a simple free client use smarters pro
  11. vultura's avatar
Added to library, never know when it might be useful.
    rimalpatel007's avatar
How do you add it to the library?
Does that also mean when the promo ends, it's still free to download from the library?

    Hello,

I dread the idea of downloading numerous apps to watch a single channel. Numerous apps that take up hardware resources on my laptop slowing it down because they are like bloatware. For example downloading BBc iplayer just to watch bbc 1 live or Itvx app to watch itv live or downloading My5 app to watch channel 5 live and so on. Its madness downloading multiple apps and not only that you have register per app and sign in just to watch a tv channel.

Im looking for a service where you can watch uk freeview channels including freeview hd channels live through a web browser. Will it be free because its freeview channels? Preferably no registration required. If this service does not exist then which free 1 single app has all the freeview channels please? I don't mind registering for a single app or a single site that contains all.

Which free sites or apps you guys recommend?

Or if it is a paid service/site/app then which you guys recommend that is backed by good trustpilot reviews? If its paid subscription for freeview then why am I paying for "freeview? Or does it include premium channels like sky1 or sky sports hence not free?

    Cheers,

TAKE CARE!!! App continuously looks for permission to change system settings.

Why? I would not trust it.
    fr3dy77_sp33d's avatar
That only happens when you try to change brightness or volume from the app. You dont need to give that access. (edited)

    One crap useless app

another local cheap made spying kit to follow people who use IPTV , chase their IPs then track them down after looking up their IPTV streams
  15. markyo007's avatar
Spyware to piggy back off your IPTV streams.
    DanY_'s avatar
Wouldn't surprise me, my first thought was that the dev could be "borrowing" users m3u links. Most should stick with a well known app or the one supplied by the provider
  16. DipeshP's avatar
The best iptv providers have their own player. Never had to use this app.
    reckoning's avatar
They're usually very generic and missing features.

Tivimate is by far the best imo
  17. jamesturley30's avatar
Try tvimate or implayer for the best options around. Record, catch up and multiple playlists can run at once as well as vod.
    stefromuk's avatar
I do like Tivimate but it's so locked down unless you pay and it's quite expensive isn't it from what I remember?
  18. billy.bronco's avatar
    Smarters Is another good one

What app do people use on iPhones that offer Picture in Picture please ?

IproTv - Is great to use across all Apple devices
  20. Bervaglio's avatar
Thanks, just tested it and it's quite quick. I normally use Kodi but might switch to this.
  21. AJ2020's avatar
Best thing ever, used it for 10yrs
  22. diegopants's avatar
I cannot find this on my play store on android TV box ?
    Yoshi123's avatar
Might be old android and the app doesn't support it?
  23. Finnboy's avatar
What are the benefits of this over Kodi, real-debrid and a vpn guys? That's what I currently use.
    bazzawhite's avatar
This is purely for IPTV purposes. I know Kodi add-ons can have live streams too but if you want a simple and fast IPTV app you could use something like this.
  24. shpanalim's avatar
I just tried and it keeps crashing 🙃
    Jonty_Tenniswood's avatar
    It's rubbish
  25. fr3dy77_sp33d's avatar
Newbie here, just tried this app and it works great. Not sure why some ppl say otherwise
  26. Redwid's avatar
Strange IPTV player without EPG support.
  27. colliwag's avatar
Can you cast using it? Other ones I’ve seen charge £5/yr to be able to do that.
    Mark_Flanagan's avatar
Iptv smarters you can cast and it's free
  28. Bargainz999's avatar
Can this be installed on the fire stick?

  29. nosherfj's avatar
On xbox I use best player (orange triangles icon) which can jointly be used with pc if you want.
On lg cx i use smarters pro which is free but as i want dolby atmos through xbox i mostly use best player
  30. holyblue186's avatar
Terrible app, why is this upvoted so much?
    LewsTherin's avatar
    Probably the dev's own bots...

Can this be used as a sort of plex gadget? Or is there anything else out there that's similar to plex but without paying a 5iver a month!? Tia
    Ste_T's avatar
Plex is free, Plex Pass is £3.99 or you can get a lifetime pass for around £80 but unless your using and sharing your movies, tv shows etc, you can use the free version.

get a VPN set it to USA and you get loads more, shows and TV, the same with plutoTV pop on a VPN set it to USA and get a load of free stuff.

Emby is Free for media sharing.

No reviews as yet and BT virus protection app says this is untested. Will play safe and pass.
  36. Dalkirst's avatar
They charge £5 for this normally?
    Bit basic
  37. James_Turkish's avatar
How does this compare to tivimate for streaming? Thanks
    Zool's avatar
This app is junk stick with tivi or if you want something very similar take a look at sparkle player really nice app (edited)
  38. Bargainz999's avatar
Although tivimate and implayer are good apps, they do drain a lot of resources and IMHO are not the best apps for Android TVs. Hence I personally prefer Televizo as it's not as memory intensive, can do most of what the other apps can do. I highly recommend you try it.
