Not sure why the 65” & 77” LG G3 gets GX Bars instead of the G1 bar bundled with the 55”, but still a very good offers regardless.

A Decade of Evolution at Its Core

Enter the world of α-realism¹, refined over 10 years of innovation. A portal to new universes and the sensation of feeling like you're really there. Be the main character surrounded by the exceptional picture and sound refinements of α9 AI Processor 4K Gen6.

Behold Even Brighter OLED

LG OLED's iconic self-lit pixels shine brighter² than before with the Light Boosting Algorithm, Light Control Architecture, and other refinements driven by α9 AI Processor 4K Gen6.

LG's Micro Lens Array (MLA)-powered OLED panel is the company's brightest ever.

The brightest picture yet is provided by this LG OLED TV thanks to MLA (Micro Lens Array) technology. MLA enhances the focus of the screen by adding a layer of microscopic lenses. Images come to life with more realistic and natural colour thanks to increased brightness. Additionally, brighter screens work better in daylight, allowing you to see more detail than you otherwise would with a standard OLED screen.

Enjoy the best gameplay.

This LG excels in many areas than just movies; a variety of technologies also make it a top pick for gamers. With LG's Game Optimiser, you have easy access to key settings thanks to an improved gaming menu. The graphic is tailored to the game type using a variety of predefined game genres, such as one for sports games. It has 48Gbps HDMI 2.1 ports and is made to maximise the performance of current and upcoming game consoles. Quick Media Switching (QMS), Auto Low Latency Mode (ALLM), and Variable Refresh Rate (VRR) are terms that describe how your TV automatically switches to the best settings for gaming, providing you a smoother and quicker response.

WebOS 23 makes smart TV easier to use.

LG's webOS system is still the system to beat and is widely considered as one of the greatest smart TV platforms. With new Quick Cards folders, webOS 23 is now simpler to use. These make it simpler to find the programme or source you're looking for by collecting relevant content together. For a more personalised interface, recommendations and popular apps are now tailored to specific users and appear on the home screen. The voice-controlled centre for all of your home entertainment

You can manage a Home IoT ecosystem with natural voice recognition thanks to LG's ThinQ AI technology. Because Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa are built-in, operating your LG OLED TV and finding the entertainment you want is much simpler

Students shouldn't really be buying large TV's with their student loans!
    noiren's avatar
Why not, it's all fake money anyway and it's not like they'll have a future where they'll be able to afford anything meaningful like a house or family.

Just wondered if there is anyone who is keeping their sound bar instead of selling it. What is your opinion on the sound quality it produces?
    pablo4's avatar
Sound is quite good but the soundbar randomly disconnects from tv, it disconnected 3 times in just over a week. The only to reconnect is to kill the power and switch back on. I've also got problems with the picture on tv, in close up scenes I get swirly pastel effect in the background and can't get rid. It's really getting on my nerves now as was expecting a lot more from my first oled I wish I stuck with my old 49" lg (edited)

I’m hoping for the 65” G3. This price is tempting but someone else mentioned on another post that BLC doesn’t get the 5 year warranty.

I need to factor in a third party stand as well.

Our 55” B7 has got red fade and burn in at 6 years old, which isn’t covered anyway. (edited)
    nia112001's avatar
My B7 is the same, yellows towards the center of the screen are green also. Still love it though.

I found the code for 20% off soundbars worked on the bundle for the TV and free soundbar. Just purchased the G3 65" for £1646 with the soundbar 🔥
    Dealfinderextraordinaire's avatar
Looking to get the same but it’s been saying unavailable all day for me… in stock but can’t add to basket

Nice to know students can afford nearly 2 grand for an important thing like a tv

    Priorities!
  6. Fareed_Patel5N5's avatar
Is the G3 a lot better than the c3?
    Faz_91's avatar
It’s much brighter but tbh, unless you’re always in a sunlit room, it’s not needed. The wall mount is handy if you want something that’s super flush but if those two aren’t important, I’d get the C3.

How does a 5 year warranty direct with LG compare to John Lewis or Richer Sounds (6 years)?
    Limmy's avatar
It's not actually direct from LG, it's supplied by Domestic and General, got the paperwork through shortly after buying my G3 last summer. If that helps. Haven't had to had to use it yet, hopefully don't!

My 2021 CX55 OLED I have just noticed screen burn along bottom where sports and news headlines scroll across really disappointed not even 3 years old

Two questions if anyone can help please?

    1) Before we bother my sister in law, if they provide the BLC code can we use it and pay or does the BLC member need to pay/have the item delivered to them?

    2) Anyone manger to get BLC to work with the 65” and the soundbar?

    Thank you.
    ZDP99's avatar
You can have it delivered to you, not an issue. And yep, I got it with the 65” and soundbar but using the soundbar code not the TV code
  11. Wrig's avatar
Does anyone have a student beans discount code they can spare. looking at getting the 55" G3.
    vhfeng's avatar
Search fb for student beans code and join the group. Ask in there and you'll get one
  12. Cb321's avatar
Not sure if this is working anymore, no student beans or blue light codes work for me for the 55" with G1 soundbar
    tangers's avatar
Yep. SB code is not working for me either for the bundle
  13. Synegy's avatar
    Ooooo very nice

Mine arrived today but the bottom of the TV box was soaking. Contacted LG to notify them it arrived this way but luckily no damage to the TV and the inner packaging was completely dry so I suspect it's been sat on a wet pallet
  17. sonag32625's avatar
For anyone else having trouble, I tried this in a fresh Chrome profile with no ad blocker installed. It seems like you need to make sure you visit the LG site initially from the StudentBeans link, don't navigate there via HUKD.

I also tried a Perkbox LG code and whilst that worked with the TV by itself, it specifically didn't seem to work with this bundle. The StudentBeans code did though.

P.S. anyone wanna buy a soundbar?

Need the 77 to come down
    Matholwch's avatar
Yours (on this deal) for £2798.40!
  19. Hudson1986's avatar
Don't suppose anyone has a spare code they'd like to share? Would be very much appreciated.
    TechNinja's avatar
    Do you still want one?

Soundbar will realistically fetch £200-£275 on eBay
    AJ10's avatar
    Author
That’s still very decent considering the G3 OLEDs are selling
more expensive even without the bar at most places.

    Also I’d definitely think it’s more between £250 - £320 (edited)
  21. Matholwch's avatar
EPP also at this price. However the soundbar looks awful.
Wow can’t believe its RRP is £799! Its has little or no width (hence my comment). (edited)
  22. fab3rge's avatar
TCB 3% (1% with code) I say that because sometimes I’ve had it track at higher % even with the use of a code, so potential £13.50/ £40 there

Any spare BLC codes will be highly appriciated.

    Thanks

You ask for a lot of codes!
  25. SandorClegane's avatar
Got excited by the price for a moment until I realised it's BLC and students only. Never mind 😄
  26. hairyarse's avatar
Is this much better than a C3 for PS5 and Series.X? And how are the sound bars? Many thanks 🙏
    mattk's avatar
I replaced an LG CX with this in my pretty bright conservatory with a roof. As soon as I plugged it in the brightness was so noticeable. It's all round a better TV. Gaming is superb but I'm sure it would also be the same on the C3 just not as bright.
I'd say if your living room is particularly bright then pay the extra for the G series if not then the C3 would be fine.
  27. mooooof's avatar
I was told deals with LG direct are not allowed any more when I shared a code a few weeks ago 🤷

I’ve got a few student discount accounts & perks at work accounts which I’m not sure I can share after a warning 🤷🤷🤷
  28. chunk3rvd's avatar
I’ve seen a a screenshot of this working with SB but not with BLC. Any blue light holders get this to work? Tells me the code is invalid on the bundle but it goes through fine on the TV by itself. After the 77 if that makes a difference

Tempted to see if Richer Sounds will match the £2978 price I’m getting as they’ll probably throw the soundbar in with it anyway and I’d rather give then my money
  29. Limmy's avatar
Nice, i got the 65 G3 for £1600 in June and it's been excellent. Especially the anti glare on the screen vs my old B7 (which is still also fantastic)

I'd have taken the free soundbar
Now bought a Sonos Beam Gen 2 plus play 3 surrounds, sub next (edited)
  30. EverydayImHustling's avatar
Which soundbar is better? GX or G1?
  31. ZDP99's avatar
I’ve current got a plug socket exactly where it’ll need placing so I’m gonna have to have that moved and hopefully get the wires hidden in the wall. Anyone know how much work this is on a solid wall? Got an electrician coming over
    Fareed_Patel5N5's avatar
I got a new double socket added for 160 including the plastering
  32. vhfeng's avatar
I cant get a BLC discount to work either. I cant see this on on the LG site so not sure if its still valid
    vhfeng's avatar
Does anyone have a student code I can try please

This BLC code doesn’t work for the 55 G3 with soundbar bundle. Does anyone have a spare SB code? Would be very appreciated :).
    vhfeng's avatar
I found a fb group for the sb and asked on there. Someone contacted me quickly and sent me a code. I used it and got this bundle for £1332 last night
  35. accy's avatar
If I remember right many have stated before if you use work or student discount you don't get the 5 year warranty

It doesn’t state this in their terms?
  36. vhfeng's avatar
Well after my post last night I have today been given a student beans discount code and its worked at 20%
My deal for the 55" worked out at £1332 so I'm happy

  39. Fossil's avatar
I think it came in with sound bar but went very quickly.

I was on a work call so didn’t see the alert.

    *mumble grumble*

Frustratingly my perks at work code won't work on any TVs for some reason. Does anyone have a student beans code they could share?
    Bakayaro's avatar
You need to use the code for soundbar and make sure cookies have been accepted.
