How do I cancel the auto renewal after subscribing to this?
    EN1GMA's avatar
go into the account section, theres an option there to cancel sub. you'll have to enter your password and reason but ive just done it and it will send you a notification

This is a very good deal! Use this for Peacock and CBS.
    GhostCaspar's avatar
How did you get Peacock without a US address credit card? As far as I know it doesn't work well without one?

How does Windscribe compare to NordVPN? My sub is running out soon. Are the speeds good?
    golfovividor's avatar
I'm in a similar situation to yours, with my NordVPN subscription expiring mid April. I signed up for this offer and ran some speed tests in my MacMini and iPhone. I've got Virgin Media 350Mbps.

Without any VPN I get 382 Mbps in the MacMini and 286 Mbps in the iPhone.
With NordVPN I get 347 Mbps in the MacMini and 230 Mbps in the iPhone.
With Windscribe I get 200 Mbps in the MacMini and 120 Mbps in the iPhone.

I wasn't happy with the results so I opened a ticket and requested a refund (Windscribe will refund if used less than 10GB in less than 3 days).

Your mileage might vary, I guess, but I wasn't happy with those numbers.

I purchased thought PayPal at £15.69 and it turned on automatic payment. Is this normal?

It’s the first time I’ve ordered, but it seems to me that this will renew next year at the same price. Which will be handy as I won’t have to wait for another deal,
I’ve looked at the information on their webpage and it says the subscription can be cancelled at anytime. But please take a look for yourself to be sure.

I'm about to buy this, but am I correct this is just a VPN? I have UK Netflix, and sometimes when I need to access a website from a different region I use Hola free (which is woefully slow)

From the comments here, it seems like Windscribe is really good and it's rare for a deal. Can someone please explain the benefits for me?
    OhTheMajesty's avatar
I'm also a noob... Since I've been using this I've been able to access all the streaming services from different countries ie US, Australia etc to access a variety of content. I've set up an additional account so far for the US and for Australia and added it to my Google profile. So I can log in to the respective account t and access apps from those countries. So for example, I could download Optus Sport, which is from Australia and airs Premier League matches. Some apps might require a GPS location to verify where you really are, and Windscribe can spoof your GPS location. Also I believe that general Internet use is safer through a vpn.

Can someone explain if this just works on your browser/pc/phone or can it be done at the router level so my TV can get USA Netflix, for example.
  11. VimesUK's avatar
Thanks OP. Heat added and joined.

Has anyone used their router config file to generate one..? I have done 2 now, one for London (Biscuit) and the other also for London (Custard). Applied without issues to my Asus router and I can direct traffic through whichever one I want. One IP resolves as being in Italy and the other in Australia..?!

I expected as London being selected as the place for the VPN / IP address, that is where my IP would show as being..?
    AamirQuazi's avatar
I’ve used the wireguard config on my unifi uxg pro…. Works fine - ip address resolves correctly.

Stupid question, but what is windscribe good for?
    HowCheapIsIt's avatar
God knows why people pay for browser. Install Brave for free. If someone thinks that vpn for few quid per year can cover your activities then think again.
  13. jimbo001's avatar
Missed the yearly pass for £8 forever deal, refuse to pay for it now
  14. sharq's avatar
Pretty sure last deal was around £15.
    Seems this is even cheaper

Mods changed it, not convinced £12 is correct - it should be £15.01

Purchased congrats on a hot deal
  16. Bbqueue's avatar
Can you share your sub? I didn't have any problems letting my friend share my Nord account when I was with them, but I didn't care about that! I'm on the cheap annual deal and don't want that getting shut down!

Nice 1. Now got until 2026

Missed the last one and mine was ending in March so now have another 12 months for $19 whatever that is in pounds. It also said this was taken at $19 yearly so does that mean it will be the same for next years renewal.
Anyway thanks for the heads up.
    Pualle's avatar
I was in the same boat. Glad I managed to get this before my current sub ended.

I normally subscribe with Stack Social. This is the first time I've subscribed direct. It reads like it's $19/year which wouldn't be bad. I'm curious too if that's the case.

    How do you stack it?

when I try it recognises the code but it says I already have this subscription
  24. igrift's avatar
Do you get annoying captchas going on google and retail sites?
    AamirQuazi's avatar
Yes i do for the UK server… not on the usa one though!
  25. anthony69's avatar
I've done this twice already, can i cancel and stack it a second time?. Has anyone done this? Current expiry is 2026. (edited)
    AamirQuazi's avatar
Whats the point of doing this? My renewal is priced at the sign up price - unless i am missing something?
  26. Jetpac's avatar
Finally managed to not miss it!
  27. Jamiem's avatar
Worked! Missed that last week, thank you
  28. vitorsilvariotinto's avatar

how do you cancel? when I click on cancel subscription it says I have no recurrent payments and nothing happens
  31. Claud1us's avatar
Won’t let me apply it as I got my subscription through App Store. Cancelled it, but it’s still active for the reminder of the year
  32. shug119's avatar

Many thanks for this. My existing subscription from a voucher runs out at the end of this year and this has added another year on top (and will hopefully renew at same price from 2026 onwards) Brilliant! thanks OP. 🔥

Windscribe have not done the really good offers for ages...you used to be able to get lifetime for this sort of price.....
What is wrong with the Tor browser which is free and does most of what people think they want...
    2ponbackofhead's avatar
Tor isn't great for streaming or data heavy activities as it relies on other people's exit nodes and bandwidth.
  37. Happychappys's avatar
    Thanks, well spotted, just upgraded

any good for buying Turkish Netflix cards ?

    Edit:
It does, great speeds too Connected to Turkey got 230up and 40dowb speeds on my currently limited 320 Vodafone network so will use it for Qbit (edited)
    bossk's avatar
Can I pay for Netflix cheaply via Turkey but watch in the UK via my TV app?
