Go easy on me. First deal I've ever posted. I'm pretty red alert 3 and Tiberium wars were over £5 a couple of weeks ago. Both now £1.89 and expansion packs are also under £2. Can't find cheaper anywhere else.

ABOUT THIS GAME
4307415_1.jpg

The desperate leadership of a doomed Soviet Union travels back in time to change history and restore the glory of Mother Russia. The time travel mission goes awry, creating an alternate timeline where technology has followed an entirely different evolution, a new superpower has been thrust on to the world stage, and World War III is raging. The Empire of the Rising Sun has risen in the East, making World War III a three-way struggle between the Soviets, the Allies, and the Empire with armies fielding wacky and wonderful weapons and technologies like Tesla coils, heavily armed War Blimps, teleportation, armored bears, intelligent dolphins, floating island fortresses, and transforming tanks.

  • Star-Studded Storytelling Command & Conquer's trademark live-action videos return in HD, with over 60 minutes of footage featuring the largest cast in the history of the Command & Conquer franchise.
  • Command the Seas, Conquer the World Experience Gameplay as for the first time in the series, waging war on the water will be every bit as important as dominating by land and air. Gain strategic advantages by controlling resources in the seas and mounting three-pronged attacks from all directions.
  • Ready your Man Cannons! Armored War Bears, and Anime-inspired psychic school girls join your favorite Red Alert units like Sonic Dolphins, Tesla Troopers, Attack Dogs, and the ever popular Tanya.
  • A New Threat From the East The deadly Empire of the Rising Sun is a technological terror, with designs influenced by a mixture of anime, science-fiction, martial arts and robot culture. The Empire's futuristic units can transform into alternate forms, and they specialize in naval warfare.

Wow, what a blast down memory lane. Shame they haven't done some new ones as they definitely are a good play through and would be good to see a new game or two. For anyone who hasn't played can't recommend them enough. Wonder if they are any good on the deck?.
    JordzHR's avatar
I've been playing red alert 3 on the deck flawlessly

Just a nod that there is OpenRA.
    openra.net/

Open-source Red Alert and Command and Conquer.
    Multiplayer support too.
Some mods require the original game.

And if you didn't know about OpenRA, then did you know about OpenTTD? Transport Tycoon was an excellent game back in the day, and again, there is an open-source version which is great to play on modern hardware (full screen, etc).

Red alert 2 which I played on ps1 I think was the best. What's the latest one? Remastered but not on PlayStation.
    reddragon105's avatar
First two games were on PlayStation - Command & Conquer, and Command & Conquer: Red Alert.

Plus the two Red Alert expansion packs (Aftermath and Counterstrike) got a standalone release on PlayStation, bundled together as Command & Conquer: Retaliation (with new FMV sequences exclusive to PlayStation).

And all of the above are now together in the C&C Remastered Collection.

Red Alert 2 has only ever been Windows only, and there's hope they'll be remastering it next.

Was just about to buy this and realised I’ve already got RA3 + TW when I bough C&C Ultimate Collection (17 games) back in 2016 thanks to HDUK! Worth getting this deal if you haven’t yet got it.

KW is my favourite in the CNC series which I still often play. I just wish the community was bigger. Hopefully this price reduction helps but I doubt it

Note for those wanting to play online that while EA discontinued their support for online servers years ago, you can still play online via community servers. cnc-online.net/en/

Made by some of the same people (as Petroglyph was formed by some ex-Westwood developers), and with the same composer as the early C&C games.

8-Bit Armies in particular gave me real C&C vibes, and Petroglyph have made some other great RTS games like Forged Battalion, Grey Goo and Star Wars: Empire at War.

I paid the £20 (includes c&c) for a year EA subscription because i'm going through the single player campaign missions. Just started of with remastered collection (£17 at the moment but regularly goes to a £5).

If these c&c were under £2 couple weeks ago I would have bought them.

May well be permanent deals as they appear to be no price reductions. (edited)

400 playing Yuri Revenge at the moment online. Can use CNC net for online/local/skirmish.
Campaign is a bit harder to get running

Many hours playing these games, but Generals, what a game! Hours and hours of multiplayer with mates.
  31. jimbo23's avatar
I remember playing Red Alert (modem-modem) and building sand bags to my mates base, and then a bunch of Tesla coils zapping away at it.
    Mav3000's avatar
That's how I beat the original C&C campaign. The CPU would not attack sandbags so would channel their troops to my oblisk towers and then block them into their own base.

Red Alert 2 was so good. Maybe I'll give this one a try.
At first I hated C&C Generals but learned to love it.
    Wish they could remaster both.
    chrisjlocke's avatar
There is openRA, which is an open-source version of Red Alert. Depending on the mod, it could be what you're after. See my post above for linky diddly do.
