Update 1
Credit for the below info

EE is sending out 5G SIM cards that are incompatible with some handsets, particularly Samsung, so please be mindful of this before switching over

With Plusnet now being wrapped up, EE are now giving Plusnet customers a chance to get a 1 month sim (Very rare to get a good deal on 1 months sim with EE) via the get deal link, you will need to be an existing Plusnet customer with a unique code to access these

Possible 6 month apple music available (Free Apple Music for 6 monthsAll our 30-day SIM plans come with 6 months of free access to Apple Music - that's a saving of over £59.)

4307558_1.jpg
This is an EE essentials plan with a 100mbps speed limit, but like i say, only 1 month, so if it is no good for you, then you can move after that one month

  • What data speeds can I expect?
All of these plans come with maximum data speeds of 100 Mbps. This means you can enjoy Ultra HD streaming, live stream gaming, uninterrupted internet browsing and fast up/downloads.
There are many things that affect the speed you get, such as the device you have, where you are in the country and your surroundings (trees, thick walls and tall buildings). Using your phone at peak times and even the weather can also affect your speeds.
  • Will the SIM fit my phone?
Yes - our multi-SIMs are designed to fit any device. Just pop out the size to fit yours.
  • Can I keep my number?
Yes. To keep your number, you'll need a PAC code. Just text PAC from your plusnet mobile to 65075 and you'll get your code in less than a minute. Then, add your PAC code as part of your order. When you receive and activate your new EE SIM, your number will be transferred over.
  • When will my new SIM arrive?
As soon as we've processed your order, we'll send the SIM by second class post.
  • What do I need?
Just your payment card details, so have them to hand.
We'll also do a credit check and ask for your employment status. This is for your safety, and any information you share with us stays strictly with EE.

Please be careful before you switch. EE is sending out 5G SIM cards that are incompatible with some handsets, particularly Samsung (you might have heard of them) and whilst they know of the issue, it seems they have neglected to share this information with Plusnet, so that they can warn you before switching.

I am currently mid-complaint to the Ombudsman about it.

EE offer 2 solutions to the issue:
    1. Buy a newer handset
    2. Cancel the new EE contract with no penalty.

I feel both of these options are poor. Being forced to buy a new handset is something that really annoys me, as there's nothing wrong with my existing Samsung Galaxy.

You'll be able to search online for more details on this problem. EE won't tell you at first and indeed, their 1st line tech support is unaware of it. It's only once escalated that you'll get the explanation.

If you don't have a code, the Plusnet modal can be bypassed by inspecting the page and removing the uqdGateOverlay div.

I've just ordered and it went through, but it did say they're going to call me to confirm some details, so I might get caught out there.

    How would I do this?

Did you try to use a discount code?
As that may have counteracted the increases

So, if you can generate yourself a discount code from perks at work, this also seems to stack, £2.80pm for 6GB, not sure how it works it out though 52332413-myW7k.jpg (edited)

These Sims are also eligible for the Double Data promotion if you are a BT Broadband customer. I now have two £4 Sims with 10GB data and a £13 one with 250GB for the MiFi device!

    hotukdeals.com/dea…200

"Text DOUBLE DATA to 150 to get free double data
EE and BT are part of the same family and as a family perk we are offering free double mobile data for EE customers who are also customers of BT. To claim your double data (if you qualify) simply text DOUBLE DATA to 150 now."

Is the page not working for anyone else? I have a code from Plusnet but when I click on Buy now, the page just refreshes and it isn't added to the basket. I've tried multiple browsers on my laptop and phone.

I don't think it's just you, they have done something with the website. It isn't letting me place an order either.

Two tips that may help some folk out/stop them getting screwed over:

    1. I was a Plusnet customer with three SIM's (for three members of the family). I got all the emails about closing down/imminent plague and pestilence etc - but the prices being quoted with the "special" Plusnet code, were crazy. So I called them in Jan (the Plusnet to EE migration team) and said that if they couldn't do better, I was going to SPUSU.

I ended up with a £27 a month contract (that's £27 in total for all three SIM's - not just one) 145GB of 5G data a month (to spread between the SIMs as I liked) unlimited Voice and Text AND Roaming. Yes, you read that correctly, each SIM has roaming (just as my Plusnet SIM's had).

BUT - and this is really important...

    2. A month later, I got my Clearscore report, only to find that, without even mentioning it to me, EE had done a HARD search on my Credit score - and Clearscore were warning me that I better not have any more, as it made me look dodgy. So if having a hard search would be a problem for you, be very careful with EE.

    Hope that helps.

is there any way to get this deal? Thank you
    Jonwillis's avatar
Open it on your web browser on pc, press f12 to open developer tools. You can then use the select element tool, click on the greyed out area and press delete. That gets rid of the pop up then you can click on the buy button.

Potentially, you might get away just clicking this

    - 10GB - ee.co.uk/bas…120-

Not bad deal for some, especially EE being best of all mobile operators in the UK.
As for me, have Three business sim with unlimited data for £6 a month(now it is £12 for new customers, I know) and Sky £2 sim for unlimited calls/txts and it is best combo for dual sim handset - £8 a month for everything unlimited (edited)
    Lumiere's avatar
Never thought of doing dual sim combo. Excellent post

Just a note of caution, the switch will go to credit check. I was trying to switch and the customer service confirmed there will be a credit check as we move to EE

Worked without code from Brave browser Windows but EU Roaming is not free unfortunately (edited)
    hoverdonkey's avatar
Thanks for alerting me to this!

EU roaming is £2.29 per day. I expect to be in Europe for about 3 weeks during a year... so that is about £50 per year additional, or £4 per month. That make this deal a no-deal for me. 1pmobile better I think. (edited)

That's a good deal for 125GB. I've jumped from Plusnet to Lebara recently as they didn't have this offer but also because no EU roaming on EE plans. Been pleasantly surprised by how good Vodafone signal has become. I still remember the days ( many many years ago ) when three was better than Vodafone (edited)
    wanderer_forest's avatar
Does EU roaming even matter with eSims like airalo? They're cheap, fast, and you can switch between sims with ease.
  16. Maples's avatar
I've got a contract with them for 2 years and the speeds were meant to be capped at 100 Mbps but it hasn't, as it can often go slightly more than than. However, I don't think many people actually need anything over 25 Mbps for a phone.

Only gripe for me is that the monthly roaming pass went up to £25 and I only found out a few weeks ago.
    Rone's avatar
I used to think that I needed more than 100, just for the sake of not being capped. However, I'm currently with 02 and I haven't seen anything above 70 yet. I do often see 8mpbs though! (edited)

Ignore these comments from trolling spot reviewers! go and try the SIM, just because one user had a bad experience doesn't automatically mean you will, mobile usage has such an unlimited amount of variables or peoples usage cases, these comments are from users who saw "price first and service second" (edited)

52333704-8nlkW.jpgI can see that all EE SIMO plans state that they will increase 31st March:

Does that mean its best to wait till 01st April if you want to take out a new SIMO? (edited)
    Purist's avatar
I asked about this when I spoke to them earlier, apparently it won’t affect us until 2025
  20. money-talks's avatar
To all those asking for codes, you will also need the existing plusnet account mobile number and the existing accounts name and address !
in other words you won’t be eligible
    Arkade's avatar
is this what happened to you?
  21. KodaBear's avatar
Pretty much nobody has codes to share. They are designed just for people who were on Plusnet Mobile who haven’t yet migrated over using the many deals that have been offered previously. This was one final attempt to get the small few remaining customers off the network before they pull the plug and leave them with no service.

If anyone is trying to get the deal and they aren’t one of probably a few hundred people left in the country (if that now!) who haven’t yet moved and have a code, you’ll need to read through the comments to find a few different methods of bypassing the code check. That’s how you order this deal.

I transferred from Plusnet to EE last summer when they first announced the shutting down of the service. Currently paying £8.00 per month (soon to be £8.63) for 5GB.

I just called EE to say that, had I waited, I would get the same package for half the price, so is there any chance of matching it. Best they could do: £7.00 per month for one single GB!
    taikonautzero's avatar
I transferred before xmas but plusnet still sent me a code from their website, which took me to the EE discounted deal page and allowed me to add it to the basket. I'm waiting to speak to EE to see if they'll match the price on my existing deal/SIM or if I have to switch to the cheaper version of the deal/SIM.
It could be worth checking to see if you can get a code from the plusnet site. (edited)
  23. highcontrast's avatar
I'm on Plusnet, how/when did they send the code out? SMS or email?
    steve1221's avatar
It's not a code, you call Plusnet and they'll open the EE account for you and start the port. (edited)
  24. Scott_Mulligan's avatar
Anyone got a spare code please?
    PeterProxy2017's avatar
No code required if you download and use the Brave browser.
  25. Avid's avatar
If you scroll fadt and press the button for the deal before the popup shows, you'll be able to complete the deal....
    sdduk's avatar
I just tried to get the deal filled all the form in with bank details pressed complete and it just went to the home page after filling all the bits in apart from the code it asked for.
Strange that it let me get right to the end and then like i said just went to the home page.
  26. shutsy2003's avatar
I’d jump at this ordinarily but £25 for roaming? I’m away on holidays quite often in EU for weekends etc and this charge just defeats the deal.
    MAC_ALI's avatar
Most of the phones are dual sim now a days. When going abroad get one cheaper sim from Lyca/Lebara for free roaming.

Anyone else there order said to contract them , and now got email saying to contact them. I used a perks at work voucher as well.
    Purist's avatar
I was asked to call them via an automated email because there was an issue with my bank account, but I wasn’t aware of the perks at work voucher. The person I spoke to was really helpful, and everything seemed to go okay. However, I haven’t received any emails or contact since then to confirm if the SIM has been sent or to provide updates on the order’s progress.

Anyone received a sim card yet?
    pinkstacey's avatar
Yes, ordered yesterday and sim arrived today. Surprised how quick! Converted sim to eSIM too 😁
  31. Jonwillis's avatar
Wouldn't 1p mobile still be better.

    EE want £10 for 12GB

    1p want £10 for 25GB

    1pmobile.com/dat…SIM
    KodaBear's avatar
    It's £10 for 20GB, or £13 for 125GB

So depending upon exactly how much data you want EE may well be better here.

Additionally, you get features that 1P Mobile don't have for example eSIM and visual voicemail. So there's plenty of reasons why someone might want this instead.

Plus, even if you take the 20GB, you get Stay Connected data. So you can keep going beyond 20GB at no extra cost, just at a slower speed.
  32. Galaxy4741's avatar
Why is it showing i am an EE customer?
    KodaBear's avatar
Have you previously been with them for phone or broadband in the last 6 years? If so your old account remains and you’re not a new customer.

If it’s been more than 6 months though you can call up as per the instructions it gives you and give your XKO number to the sales team. They can push the order through for you.
  33. LordHippos's avatar
Given they declined my order due to using a BT PAC code previously, is it worth signing up for this again on a different email address and skipping PAC code? Worst they can do is say no right?
    KodaBear's avatar
Remember you're going to be doing another credit search. And even with a new email address your personal details will be known to them now so if you got to the point of an account being made on their system after ordering it will probably just flag up again anyways.

    I Personally don't think I would.
  34. bobby-gg's avatar
Annoyingly, I've already jumped and paying more than these deals, and looks like EE won't let me change to one of these.

Might ring them and see what they say but I'm guessing they won't do anything
    wolfs1's avatar
Same. Moved three family sims about 6 weeks ago. Paying the higher monthly plus the CPI increase. Be interesting what response you get from them. Think I'll be calling as well.
  35. Bervaglio's avatar
I was so happy with Plusnet, it's such a shame they are closing. I can't belive how bad EE's roaming pricing is. Now with Smarty and Lebara (dual sim), for a total of £9 a month with 55GB (40+15) to use in UK and 27GB (12+15) in EU. Despite being on two networks (Three and Voda) I still sometimes miss the EE coverage in UK.
    t3r4's avatar
Might be worth a look at Talk Home, Luca if you want cheap EE coverage. Or if you want something you don't need to mess around with too often, RWG and CMLink do yearly plans at decent rates too.
  36. Thermobaric's avatar
£25 PM add on for data roaming is simply criminal.
    jansen.lebow's avatar
I've got Lebara and they offer it with their plan. £6.90 PM for 15 gig including roaming! These bigger brands just are useless now a days
  37. sureshot's avatar
