Haven't played a WD7, but I picked up a WD10 for about this price 8 or so years ago. It's fair to say that it has easily been the best value for money guitar I've ever had so I imagine these WD7s will be equally good.

I recently bought a Washburn Heritage acoustic guitar for £150 and I am very happy with the quality and the tone. I am a beginner but finding it quite easy to play barre chords. Recommended.

I got a Washburn Woodline O12SE 6-String off a deal on here and for the money it was a lot of guitar - it looked stunning, the finish etc. action was a little high I lowered it as much as possible without changing the bridge itself and it played and sounded pretty darn good - the neck was a great fit for me

I’m sure these washburns will be of a similar quality for the money……a lot of bang for your buck (edited)

I appear to still be thinking about since it was last posted in September. Wish there were more reviews or somewhere to try.

To be fair in my experience acoustics in this sort of price range can be very similar in feel ...tone can vary a little bit but as they are probably going to be the same sort of wood they're won't be much in it I would have thought .
Distance buying regs these days have made it quite easy to return something. lot will send a courier to pick up from your door

    Plastic nut unfortunately.

For a beginner, anyone recommend the WD7S over a Yamaha FG800? I know the Yamaha is more expensive, but anyone with experience of the two, I would be grateful on your opinion.

I'd buy something 2nd hand from FB marketplace. Lots of people give up early and so you'll have lots of choice... you'll find as new Yamahas or Fenders for ~£100. And any faults will be obvious from a basic look over... Not much to go wrong with an acoustic.
