I just had a listen to the first few tracks on Tidal. I wasn't sure what to expect, especially since nearly all the Love/Hate songs on those albums were written by Skid (according to Spotify, all these tracks are composed by James Wilkinson [Jizzy's real name]). I must admit that what I heard was better than I was expecting. His vocals have hardly changed and former Love/Hate guitarist Darren Housholder is also present. Certainly worth a listen.
As a kid, I loved the first Love/Hate album. Lyrically, it hasn’t aged well. Rock Queen, for example… Rock queen, thirteen, buxom blonde, bad dream Let me touch your cookies Let me eat your cookies Rock queen, thirteen, buxom blonde, bad dream Let me touch your cookies Let me eat your cookies now, oh yeah
I did like their first four albums... not sure I'm brave enough for this. Heat added regardless.

Disappointed I missed it. It’s not on Spotify to give the live album a listen either (skeptical)
I’m expire it
It wasn't. Today's vinyl is much superior to that of yesteryears.
£124.99 on Amazon, which site did you get it from? $109.98 at ShopHorizon
Because like many things those skills were lost because CDs/digital were the future despite the fact that the full capability of digital is rarely used. The question is do artists/studios today record digital AND analogue masters these days... surely it couldn't be that difficult to record both almost simultaneously. Also vinyl buyers should surely get the best quality digital recording of the album they buy included because they pay a premium to get the vinyl version.
Classic, bought and listening to now, cheers op A few crackles but pressing isnt anywhere near as bad as i had expected from the reviews tbh
Yip. With the exception of their halfbusked cover of I will survive I think this is why they struggle playing other bands material. as to new music. There’s plenty out there. Subjective of course, it isn’t flung in your face by a radio station and your friends might not play it to you cos you have your own cars and rooms now. As my friend sarcastically summed this up. ‘Aren’t you lucky all the great music was recorded before your 23rd birthday.’
How'd you know this stuff?! (y) I love music and I think I have a good ear when something has been finely crafted but i'd never be able to break it down so well like this.
I Think today's music fans would think that about today's music tomorrow. Yesterdays music is a perspective and I count music like the Beatles and Hendrix and Floyd as that. St peppers is now 55 years old. Let's face it, we are never going to have this sort of music again, however I wouldn't want the same music over and over anyway. Good music comes and goes as bands do. It depends what your into as I currently love anything on ninja or warp label, which is great technical music, it just doesn't sound nice to the c major 4/4 ear. R.e.m. were clever in making their music sound simple but it really wasn't, using obtuse choards and harmonic clashes and odd syncopation. Lyrically most songs made no sense without the context, but once you had that it unlocked the song and it became something magical. Man on the moon being a classic example for me as I didn't know about Andy Kaufman before the film was released, then the track being a title track suddenly has real context.
Catch a fire and survival also on there at half price
Uprising, Exodus, Rastaman Vibration and Survival, in that order for me ! Was kinda pondering on this, but unsure about the pressing transfer (being his early stuff) https://www.365games.co.uk/reggae-vinyl-lps/bob-marley-sun-is-shining-red-yellow-and-green-vinyl Anyone got this and elaborate on the sound quality ?
If your a Marley fan then this album should be in your collection....my No.1 Marley go to album
I see they are promoting a rewards scheme, points for pounds spent which may be their new incentive. I'll have a closer look though, thanks.
Tell me you know nothing about music without saying it. Perhaps radio 1 would be more up your street
Then this should be red hot. Great price.
I did wonder. I mean, I find that reason utterly mind blowing because, I have created a post before to list one LP on offer, then noticed there’s say two other albums by the same artist at a good price, but instead of posting separate listings, I have simply referenced ‘ohter LPs also at this price’ in my description, only to find someone has gone ahead and posted the others separately!!! (confused) (confused) (lol) (lol) mind boggles sometimes on here, but hey ho it’s good for the craic Thank you for this update. Amazing prices for the half-speeds, absolutely incredible it got chilled to the bone (lol)
Just for those who are wondering...I checked with their customer service and all 3 are the Half-Speed mastered versions. You may find them about a £1-£2 cheaper if you're lucky, but I didn't find all 3 together and certainly not with discount available or free postage.
This was the version I had (22 tracks) https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B01M72NE1G/ref=ox_sc_saved_image_1?smid=A3P5ROKL5A1OLE&psc=1
