A good deal from BA as part of their luxury sale considering prices for business class transatlantic flights have gone insane in the last year or so - regularly seeing prices for flights alone in the £3-4k range from London.

Hotel is 4* Crowne Plaza right in Times Square - great for sightseeing.

Their aircraft to New York feature the new club suite product - each passenger gets their own fully flat suite with closing door and premium bedding. It is light years ahead of the older seats and up there with the very best airline seats in business class now. Of course service isn’t quite up to par with the Middle Eastern or Asian carriers but they are not an option going to the US from the UK.

Availability appears to be good throughout Jan/Feb 2025.

May wanna try to make it 5 nights as you will then get double TP. A route like this will instantly promote you to Bronze and near enough Silver, if you fly from a regional airport via LHR, then you will instantly become Silver. Should then get benefits such as lounge access in Oneworld Alliance, Extra Bag and Free Selection at time of booking as well as priority check in/fast track/priority boarding.

Don’t think they will be the new club suites on the 777 but still decent nevertheless

They charge resort fee of $40.16 per room per night?

This is standard for most of NYC now. Same with Vegas. Absolute joke!

True, but at least you can get a pork sausage with your breakfast

Or you could fly to the ME to get ‘better service’. Just hope you don’t have to deal with the ME ‘customer’ service levels should things not go to plan.

once you include food, transport, and shopping, I would easily put this at 8 large. (edited)

Includes hotel. The higher price is because of business class. Normally business class flights alone to NYC are 8 large for 2 ppl. (edited)

Seems like a good deal very cold time of year for NY though

Yep.. is freaking cold, got back from NYC last week. The cold there is different and deeper than here in UK

This is great price for NYC. Good deal OP. Was there last year and extremely expensive so this for business class is really good 😸

Wow i think thats a fab price!

They are failing to sell those seats on BA because of their price hike. This is the only way they can make them pay.

And a 4* hotel.in NYC is very different from one in most of mainland Europe of Asia, but comparable to the UK, but smaller rooms in NYC.

Surely room size depends quite a bit on the hotel

Which is the best hotel at the cheapest rate for location and value/comfort, also what is the cheapest/ best way to get from the airport.

always wanted to go to NY this may be the opportunity  (edited)

The hotel that’s included will be the cheapest. Getting to Times Square from JFK isn’t hard. Download the Citymapper app if you don’t want to pay for a cab

Personally I found the new club suites to be impractical for larger items (like iPad storage) and the takeoff experience is a bit weird (guess it’s the angle). But the bed is okay and the bedding better!

Oh yes, sometimes I hate the taste of the caviar too 👀

It's a good price compared to usual for business class, but worth noting that the same flight and hotel in economy is £704 per person, so basically a £1000 saving each. Not like it's a particularly long flight so I'd struggle to imagine justifying £1000 to be a little more comfortable for ~15 hours of my life. Maybe if you're someone who really doesn't get on well with flights it might be worth it, but I'd rather spend the £1000 on doing more stuff on my holiday!

We've just returned from NYC having booked flights and hotel via BA, just bear in mind that the room tax is alot (around 30 dollars a night) and the cost to eat and drink is now eye watering, this was our 3rd trip but probably the last, still a brilliant city but whatever you think about a budget, double it.

Yes unfortunate that the pound is so weak against the dollar now. I still remember the good old days of 2 dollars to 1 pound 2007 did all the Xmas shopping in NYC (edited)

Looking at booking this, is it worth taking out any cards to boost points etc. I've got an Avios account already, I'm not clued up on how to play the clubs game for flying
