    If you buy from Argos you will almost certainly get a genuine Casio which will give you years of reliable service; cannot say the same about EBay copies. I have heard that some copies are very good but they themselves are now having to compete with cheaper and poorer quality counterfeits. (edited)

    It’s weird how different colours of this are classed as men’s or women’s arbitrarily by Argos. All the same watch and size. Orange? Women’s watch. Black? Men’s watch. Pale Blue? Couldn’t decide so not mentioned in the title but listed under Men’s watches.

    It's because the watch faces are usually smaller for women's watches and the band size is usually for skinnier wrist sizes.

    To be fair even in the 1980s the main owners of watches like this were 14 year old boys... the ones that couldn't afford the one with the calculator!

    Of course you could just buy Cassette 50 and get round that problem... (edited)

    Aliexpress has a few decent Casios for around £20 at the moment (they're genuine), wibbled on about them here.

    Be sure to use the Aliexpress app - some tips here. (Quoting myself, from Reddit). And here.

    Only slight minus is that mine came in a generic box with the module instructions sellotaped on the side, so yours may not be giftable. Some Aliexpress reviewers got theirs in official Casio tins (?).

    Received one watch 9 days after ordering, the other took 10 days. (edited)

    I bought one of these for 8.99 at argos a few years back. Now i went on ebay they were selling them for around a fiver! Free p&p 
    and guess what ? They are fakes! The display was wonky! But so far it works, it also says japan on the stainless steel backing when these from argos are all made in china nowadays! So for ten pounds its not bad. The originals 30years ago had a better led green light but for a reliable “nuke proof” Lol watch these are da bomb! 😁
