Gave up my car to save money (which I do, using public transport), and rent a flat so that my landlord will do repairs.

What about your wife and kids, how do they survive

May be ok for a lot of people, but things change every day a lot for me as I don't know where I'm going to be every day (I'm a mobile engineer although can spend a lot of time at home when it's quite) and also depending what it is and which neighbours are going to be in when it's delivered.

Sometimes you don't know until the actual day if you want if left with a neighbour or in a safe location (might even leave the padlock on the side gate open if I'm only going to be out for a couple of hours and ask if they can lock it once they have put the item down there).

Must admit its still a bit too expensive for me at the moment, but some people it's a good price for them.

I dislike his as the live viewing takes a lot out of the battery and he is charging the unit weekly. The point I am making is you will need to recharge vs always power and plumbed in via transformer. I've had a digital Ring RAC630 for about 4 years now, never let me down (and I work on cars a lot) - Will blow a flat up in no time and stops at exactly the pressure you want. Unscrew the cap carefully and unlike manual pumps no air is lost. Rea godsend! As for pumping up on a forecourt, not much use if a petrol station is not near when you want one. It's little money (well mine was £19.89 delivered on amazon, just checked my account - I have had it longer than I thought as I bought it 31 Jan 2012 - so much for those saying it's unreliable. Noisy yes, but unreliable, no!

During this time you will not have a doorbell.- there is no internal chime, just a notification on your phone to say someone is at your door. No phone on you at the time if the call (trip to the bathroom etc) then you will miss the doorbell notification. To have an internal house audio chime you need the additional add on, which has strangley gone up from £24.99 to £34.80 at pretty much the exact same time as this amazon exclusive offer. So this offer saves you £15, but the most purchased accessory has gone up by £10....hmmm

Actually, theft replacement is any time after the ring was purchased.. as stated on their website.

II. PURCHASE PROTECTION

If your Ring™ Video Doorbell is stolen at any time after your purchase, Ring Inc. will replace your Ring™ Video Doorbell at no charge to you.

Everything else is one year.. should it breakdown etc etc

What's your point exactly?
You are quoting scrap/metal value.
Here is a ring that is being sold brand new.
Do you think it cost nothing to make??
What about the machinery, time, craftmanship, etc it takes to make a piece of jewellery?
You are not just buying the metal, you are buying the finished product.
I cant comment regarding the diamond quality, however I'm sure you could contact argos directly to ask.

I have owned the Ring Floodlight cam since last April and had an issue with it a few months later, but it was replaced by Ring under warranty (I like to give some manufacturers a chance, as even expensive cars go wrong!). Since then it's been working fine, only needing a reboot once. I know some people complain about the network connection, but I guess it depends on how far away you are from your router, as well as how many walls etc are in it's way. Unfortunately as with all these things, it's trial and error. Some people will have interference and then blame the unit, others will be lucky and have no issues. I purchased a Ring Spotlight a few weeks back from John Lewis (2yr warranty) and have installed it in the garage for now, as I need to wait to have an external plug socket fitted at the front of my house. It's pretty much the same unit, but without the bigger spots that the Floodlight cam has. The Floodlight cam is ideal if you require more light, whereas the Spotlight cam is more suited to smaller areas (side of a house) or the front of the property (lower down) where you may not require as much lighting. I hope this helps.
Thanks OP. Shame it's not hot as it's a great reduction. Premium product syndrome again it seems - attracts cold votes

I wouldn't buy it to use as a jump starter. It's only useful to me as an inverter and power pack (e.g. to run a coolbox off in the boot of the car on the way to a camping trip)
I always carry a spare battery , cheaper and more efficient
OR.... small car battery, lidl smart charger, pair of decent jump leads...... 300w invertor if you really need it (won't run much and will drain the battery very quickly), not as portable but works better, though if you're riding round with this in the boot because your battery goes flat, you're an idiot
Be careful with these, this will not jump a flat battery, like a lot of jump starters at this budget they require some power in the battery. At this budget you cannot beat the Clarke 4000
