I really don't like to moan, especially in the opening part of a deal, haha. Here I am though...
Epiphone prices are so steep nowadays, it puts them out of reach for a lot of people. The quality increased over the years and the prices were fair for a good while.

Sadly now, they're mostly £500+ for guitars that were in the £300 bracket. The more premium stuff, such as the Bonomasa and Greeny models are so expensive, that they make my wallet cry. It would be great to see prices come down again, although it feels like this is a permanent thing (Please be wrong)

So... I found this today at Thomann. It's not going to be everyone's cup of tea, although I can only assume that some folks out there will like it and also consider it a good price. I really thing it is, if you want a decent quality Epiphone without going second hand or building a time machine.

Sorry again for the whinge, I am passionate about guitars and it always annoys me when thing seemingly increase in price for little to no reason at all. Pop those things together and you get a mardy Ken

    Nice, great deal.

I completely agree with you on guitar prices. The paradox at the moment is that there are so many used guitars on the market and shifting them has become impossible. I had a Ibanez S521 in mint condition for £170 for about a year before someone picked it up.

It depends on the guitar. Certain models go instantly as long as the condition is decent, even for near retail price. (edited)

Looks a beauty - I'm a left handed player so always on look out for similar

Like the look of that. Saw Kirk Hammet and Dave Grohl signature epiphones recently for around £1300 to £1600, it's just bonkers. Surely a second hand Gibson can be had for that money. Epis should be around this price

Yup, nobody should be buying an Epiphone for above £1000 but surely people are willing or they wouldn't make them. Much better off with a Gibson LP tribute or 2nd hand Classic etc at those price points.

These are the hidden gem in the epiphone line. I played one (have a Gibson les Paul standard 50s) and this was epic! Sounded great and played really well too. Mental value for the money

When they released, I remember seeing a lot of mixed responses "This isn't a real Les Paul" and "Modern tat" type things. I've always thought they were a decent option. In fact I've posted a few over the years and the response in general on hotukdeals has been positive.

I'm eyeing up those Prophecy models at the moment, and I really REALLY shouldn't be

I have one in blue, really nice guitar. Agree Epiphone are expensive these days. If you want a really good guitar at this price range auctions are the way to go.

Tempted as it seems like it’s quite light for a LP but looks more pink than purple in the video which I’m guessing better reflects its true appearance than the photos and one of the two reviews mentions building quality is a bit questionable (edited)

Panicked when just seen this and it’s already expired. Then realised I already have this one! As mentioned, colour is more pink than purple, but I like both pink and purple guitars, so happy with it.
