Thanks got 20% off with perks at work. Been meaning to treat myself to a new monitor for a while.

I also used Perks at Work and picked one up for the same price this afternoon

Va panel is known for bad screen quality. I’ve been looking for a ultrawide 1440p monitor myself. Get 34WN750p instead.

You won’t find curved / many ultra wide monitors with anything other than OLED or VA. For OLED you’ve gotta pay a heck of a lot more than this. VA isn’t as bad as people make it out to be, and tbh most people won’t really notice ghosting/smearing on VA as the quality of most of these panels has really improved.

I do not have a blue light card but if you have access to Rewards Gateway through your workplace you can get it for the same price. (15% discount + 5% new signup discount).
I've ordered one at this price

This or the 32" Dell recently also posted?

Do you mean the Dell 165Hz 2560x1440 hotukdeals.com/dea…034

If yes, I'd opt for the Dell if I was going to use it more for gaming, but the LG if I was going to use it more for office/productivity-type tasks as it has a higher pixel density (ppi) & lower pixel pitch - both equal sharper text & more detailed pics. These are almost a non-issue in games (up to a point), where the greater 165Hz will come in more handy.

How does this compare to the Samsung S50C ultra wide? Reason I am asking is that I could pay £270 for the Samsung, is it worth the additional sums? (edited)

Specs look similar but it depends if you want a curved screen or not. Can't say if it is worth the extra for Samsung.

32" 4K is much nicer for work. Yes the wide 34" is very slightly more practical for side by side stuff, but sharper text and graphics more than makes up for it.

I disagree for productivity the extra width of 21:9 allows a much better side by side display of applications. It's impossible to replicate it with 16:9 or 16:10 without reducing horizontal height of the picture, so black bars.

Replaced my 24'' on this model in December 2023 and I liked it.

Good price pity it doesn't have a KVM or USB hub built in they're so useful. I've got a Philips 346B1C that has my webcam, mouse, keyboard etc plugged into it then just one USB-C cable to the computer.

For the money it's very good. VA for gaming though isn't ideal, the motion blur and black crush suck. (edited)
