Why would they make a TV with Dolby Vision but no dimming zones?
    EndemicAlarm's avatar
    So you can pay £400.

When I was browsing Costco the other day all the TVs around this price I saw were 60Hz, so there's that.

Too many TV to choose from these days it's a fuxxing nightmare , is this the best for £400 smackers

I’d say so. You can get same size or even 65” for slightly cheaper. Maybe 350 squids mark. But this TV better for gaming and picture + better angles. And much better sound.

I've been wondering something, and this thread seems as good a time as any to ask...

Do they call it QLED because the Q looks a bit like an O, and they're trying to stand out to people who vaguely know that OLED is desirable?
    captainbeaky's avatar
If you want all the desirable letters get a QD-OLED.

I wonder if I could return it and pick this one up?

I'm hoping for some advice as the one I bought is the Mini LED version. Which one is better? (edited)
    barijohn's avatar
The U6 with mini leds should be better as can turn off the leds for better blacks.

got my tv really nice but can't get it to connect to my cctv box, keeps saying "weak or no signal" hdmi ports are all ok as tested using firestick
    wah0007's avatar
Have you tried with a different HDMI cable?
  22. chrissafc's avatar
I have a Kare H.264 DVR and had no bother with it, does what I need it to do connected to my Sony Bravia TV via HDMI. Yesterday got a new TV delivered Hisense 55E7KQTUK PRO 55 Inch QLED 4K UHD 144Hz Smart TV. Everything looked good etc until I went to connect the DVR box to the TV with HDMI...... It just wouldn't work, kept saying "HDMI signal lost" on all 4 HDMI ports, tried different cables, no joy. Even tried an identical DVR box, same issue it just wouldn't display and boot so I could even check via the mobile remote app.

Tested the DVR on my old TV, worked fine, tested it on 2 other TV's both fine.

At an absolute loss as to what could be the problem.

    Any suggestions?
