Which motherboard does this one have? And how many RAM slots?

Thanks very much for submitting the deal, just purchased for my son’s birthday. He’s been on about a gaming PC for a while but l didn’t want to spend a lot in case it sat gathering dust. If he gets in to it then l’ll be more confident in the future spending more money. I’ve looked at your deals for the last year or more and been close to going for one and finally have. He’s got a series X so that will still be what he uses but will hopefully learn the ways of a PC! He doesn’t need the monitor as he already has a gaming monitor so l will secretly remove it and use it for my purposes

this is a great find for new. i buy/sell in second hand market and this is a great deal. in the future you can get a new psu and new graphics card - fairly easy upgrades.

Looks like a good choice for a kids first PC.
    Good warranty too.

Can't see any detail about the monitor other than resolution, but on face of it it's a great deal. Often see 5600g systems for £50 less but with no monitor and igpu is much weaker than even a 1650.

Might have to turn details right down in modern titles, and could benefit from another 8gb in some, but it's pretty good otherwise. Could upgrade parts over time, and keep it going for years to come, like Trigger's broom.

I think you will have to turn down settings on nearly all modern games.

But as the monitor is more than likely 1080 & 60Hz it shouldn't make much difference.

    Great find. Hot

Excellent deal, looks good for 1080p gaming. Hot.

Is this the best pc for this sort of price? Monitor isn't needed.

Ignoring the monitor to one side.

it's still a very respective deal as the prebuilt market is very hostile, however, it can be beaten,

5 sec... top of my head.

Palicomp does the 5600G (onboard is less graphic) It has more storage, and more RAM, who cares about Windows-type users u can add a gpu more than this within just above the offset gap from the used market.. which would excel in the GPU/RAM/storage area.

or undercut........ keep to 5600G which will still have onboard that is very graphics for onboard.

if u want CPU power rather than graphic power, Argos have the 13400 UHD which is bonkers value.

all comes to desire, need, respective storage, RAM... usage...... (edited)

Good deal. Didn't even notice the monitor. But could do without if its cheaper.

This will play stuff better than a steam deck yeah?
    dc89's avatar
Yeh I’m pretty sure of that.

However the steam deck is no slouch in itself. But it’s a handheld and this is a desktop so two massively different use cases.

Do you think this will just be 1 x 8GB ram or 2 x 4GB? I’ll do an upgrade of this to 16GB ( 2x 8GB, any recommendations? I’ll add another M.2. SSD, is it better to clone the existing 240GB to a bigger drive or just keep the OS on this drive and the new card for general storage? (edited)

52438861-L1aAy.jpg52438861-ztgM4.jpgI assume this card is the original ram, can I just unclip it and throw the new ones in each slot?

Yep: check the speed as shown on the video, if needed go into bios after: set it at 3200mhz for this board.
