This or the note 12 Pro?
    dvavajiva's avatar
I googled for you and it seams like 12 pro is better, although both are close in performance

    Here is what I found:

Reasons to consider the Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 Pro 5G

    Newer Bluetooth version (v5.2)
    Optical image stabilization
Supports higher wattage charging (67W versus 33W)
    Slow-motion recording at 960FPS
Ability to record video in 4K resolution
18% better performance in AnTuTu Benchmark (520K versus 440K)
Compatible with Wi-Fi 6 wireless networks
    Stereo speakers
Delivers 22% higher peak brightness (897 against 733 nits)
    8% faster in single-core GeekBench 6 test: 965 and 895 points

Reasons to consider the Xiaomi Poco X5

Expandable storage via MicroSD card up to 512GB

Non techy here, how is this going to compare to a Redmi Note 10, in particular the camera? Thanks.
EDIT: My mistake, it's the Redmi Note 10 PRO I have. (edited)
    Crossbow's avatar
Definitely the 12 Pro over anything £200 or under, especially in the camera department.

How does this compare to Xiaomi mi 11 anyone techy willing to go through it, my camera has slowly started to go, so is this a cheap comparitive handset?

it also gives me an option to buy it in 5 instalment with no extra cost. Just ordered 8+256 as my kid will need a new phone soon. Thanks OP.

147 is incredible for what you get.
    bampoea's avatar
how do you get the 147 ?

Amazing prices for great xiaomi phones. There are some new xiaomi phones on the horizon so a part of me is thinking they're flogging these models before the new ones hit. But that could also hinder sales if people buy these over new ones. Hmm. Either way for these price points you're getting a great deal (edited)

I've been looking for a meaningful upgrade on my Redmi Note 10 Pro. Not because I have any issues with it but have had it for a couple of years now and fancy a change. There doesn't appear to be anything worth upgrading to at the sub £200 price point though from a hardware point of view. Am I missing anything worth looking at?

Redmi Note 12 Pro - can't go wrong for £159.99.....
  10. HotDealAlert's avatar
wouldn't the popular moto g84 better? they are quite similar in price when G84 was on offer.
    pebrey's avatar
I was thinking that. Or even the G54 at £127 via Perks @ Work. Personally think the Moto's are a better deal, but also love poco. Still rocking an M3 pro from a couple of years ago. It's been faultless...

Excellent price - bought one for our daughter's first phone and I've been really impressed by the performance. Screen is fast, bright and very smooth, camera opens quickly and takes some pretty decent shots (low light is understandably not great).

For Roblox/WhatsApp/Snapchat/Netflix, there's sufficient RAM to run everything without lag.

We paired it with a Three unlimited data SIM card (£12/month, existing customer deal) which sees speeds of 750-900MB/s on 5G at home (faster than our 150MB/s Sky broadband!) - when we had an outage last month, we tethered her phone to our router and ran the whole house WiFi through it, without a hitch.

Anyone know if these work with company portal?? Redmi note 10 pro doesn't you see
    one_eight_seven's avatar
Ask your company IT team what requirement that phone is not meeting.

Has anyone used WiFi calling with this? And, if so, which network? Doesn't seem to be listed as a compatible phone on the ones I've looked at so far (but I know that doesn't necessarily mean it doesn't work).
    daz73's avatar
Not really an answer but I have WiFi calling on my POCO X3 via Lebara/Vodafone.
  16. aerodeck's avatar
Worth the extra over the note 13 or not?

Thanks for this, got another £5 off with the Amazon offer. Does this have any bloatware/adware on it as I had to tweak the settings on my redmi note 10s to stop annoying pop ups?
    spammy's avatar
    What's the Amazon offer?
  18. ruddles_888's avatar
Much difference between this and the X6?
  19. winchman's avatar
Looking at the spec, the 128gb version isn't much different from the redmi note 13 4G, apart from 4g Vs 5g..
  20. hedgyhog's avatar
Does this have an ambient light sensor?

I had a POCO M4 Pro about 18 months ago, but it had to go back because the auto brightness setting did nothing, meaning I was constantly manually adjusting the brightness for indoors and outdoors. (edited)

Is that a question or a statement sorry? 20% extra is quite alot more money, not saying it isnt worth it but makes it a hard decision
  23. CyptoHippy's avatar
Now this is a great phone for this kind of money!

Battery life? Cos the moto g73 5G I bought at xmas sucks, have to charge every day and its just used for messenging and light music streaming

    I just bought a Samsung a54.
Is it worth returning it and grabbing this one? Or is this inferior to a54 (edited)
    almastabish1's avatar
Based on gsm arena comparison, a54 has better performance and have HDR10+ display.

How does it compare with the Redmi note 13 pro plus?
    piggymou's avatar
"Redmi note 13 pro plus" is mid-range premium. Has best in-class sensor / camera.

is the £40 extra worth it to go for x6 instead? some say the camera is better with x5 than x6, any one can confirm?
    piggymou's avatar
Redmi note 13 pro plus has the best camera.

How does this compare to the Motorola Edge 40 that was on offer for a similar price recently?
    jameel_ismail's avatar

    Edge 40 is better
  33. jazzuk777's avatar
With a 695 you can get a Moto cheaper, why wouldn't you?
  34. lewisproctor1's avatar
My Poco X3 was better, this seems to "judder" when the processor is grafting.
    SpicyPickle's avatar
    wdym by grafting?
  35. RonJeremi's avatar
Well, I could not resist this. Do I need it? Not really, I still like my X3.
  36. morg106's avatar
I thought I had a Note 10 Pro but it's actually a Note 9 Pro, didn't realise I'd had it that long! There's nothing actually wrong with it but I'd like more storage/5G, which this phone offers.

Looking in the under £200 range (deals that are currently active), this seems about my best bet - an upgrade to 5G from 4G, and 8/256GB from 6/64GB, everything else similar with maybe a couple of smaller upgrades - is this a fair assessment? Looking on GSM Arena the camera seems the only downgrade.
