5% S&S £25.65
15% S&S £22.95

  • Pronounced ‘Stew-rah-dur’, meaning ‘helmsman’ in Scots Gaelic, our Stiùireadair Islay malt pays homage to the Bunnahabhain helmsman and our appreciation of the sea by which we are surrounded.
  • Exposing the coastal nature of Bunnahabhain, this whisky was matured in first and second fill sherry casks in our warehouses by the Sound of Islay
  • A creamy mouth feel with a dried fruit influence and notes of sea salt, creamy caramel and hints of nuts and gentle spice .
  • The perfect whisky gift for island whisky lovers. Unusually for an Islay single malt, Stiùireadair is unpeated, allowing the sweet coastal character of our island to shine through.
  • An award-winning whisky - recently received the accolade of the gold medal at the 2021 Scotch Whisky Masters.

Nose: Dried fruit and creamy caramel with hints of brine, vanilla, nuts and a touch of spice.
Palate: Creamy mouth feel with a dried fruit influence, sea salt, creamy caramel with hints of nuts and a gentle spice.
Finish: Long and lingering with hints of dried fruit

To create Stiùireadair, our Blender selects first and second fill sherry casks with spirit of varying ages and warehouse locations to construct a dram that truly exposes the coastal nature of our Islay single malt whisky. With a brackish, coastal tinge, this sherried malt will transport you to Bunnahabhain bay, with a smattering of sea spray and dried fruit lingering on your lips. On the nose, dive deep into this Islay malt with notes of dried fruit and creamy caramel with hints of brine, vanilla, nuts and a touch of spice. On the palate, expect a creamy mouth feel with a dried fruit influence, sea salt, creamy caramel with hints of nuts and a gentle spice. The finish is long and lingering with hints of dried fruit.

Love this. Possibly my favourite budget Scotch whisky when it's at this price but it's very much "try before you buy". Its briny and a little rough.

Bought one for £26 at Tesco with Club Card today. Not had this version, but a Bunna fan

Non age statements don’t have to be bad, there are many belters just as loads of very ordinary malts with seemingly decent age statements

Good price for this currently and its a decent whisky. Doesn't compare to the 12 though for me personally which is a favourite of mine

How does this compare to the Deanston Virgin Oak?
