    Read the T and C
This exclusive offer: (1) is only available to existing AA insurance customers who have received an e-mail or letter directly from the AA; (2) can only be used by the addressee of the e-mail or letter; (3) Is not available to existing breakdown members, in conjunction with any other offer or in a breakdown situation; and (4) only applies to the first 12-months of your membership. The AA reserves the right to withdraw or alter this offer without prior notice at any time, and breakdown cover purchased in breach of these terms and conditions may be declined or cancelled at any time.

    Are the add-ons worth it?
    rdann's avatar
I think National cover is worth the extra.

Could they refuse recovery after purchase if I don't have AA Insurance

Best to call their customer service and check

Under T & C, it says only available for insurance customers. I'm not, what will happen if I buy it??
    antsgame's avatar
Anyone claimed on it with no issues?

Works for me make sure to uncheck that automatic renewal box hidden away before continuing. (Have AA expires 31st May ) can take new policy that starts 30th May with this.
    sconedu2's avatar
Hi can you tell me where abouts the auto renew box is please, I can only see a form to send that doesn't work thanks
  10. Vintage670's avatar
They are always sending me offers by post. I don't see how they can refuse this if they accept the money. I have already been provided with my membership number but strangely not able to verify it on the app however many times I try. They are a big enough company not to attempt to renegade on their callout commitments. I would expect them to honour it.

I have called them out only once in all these years and that was a dead battery which they charged me to change. It cost me £60 with the at home and nationwide recovery charge which is cheaper then normal.

    Heat for the deal.
    dw_uk2000's avatar
Just signed up and says it can be used 24hrs after purchase, so assume that's for the app also.
  11. StevieG72's avatar
Nice one, got 2 car cover, at home, national recovery and onward for £90. (edited)
    Hiyayou's avatar
That's sounds way too cheap :/ ... How did you manage that? Thanks (I'm due)
  12. dw_uk2000's avatar
Great deal, purchased national for £40, really only need it for a week while doing the NC500.

  13. StevieG72's avatar
Anyone had any issues with this if not insured with the AA. Im about to bite and buy it. (edited)
    barry55's avatar
    I'd like to know also
  14. iby_m1's avatar
My aa breakdown is due to expire 25th May. Can I take this offer today, with a start date of 26th?? :/
    NitroNick's avatar
Yes you can, start date can be up to 60 days
  15. rdann's avatar
looks a great deal, but have to have a valid AA insurance cover. Could be a way out for not meeting their terms, and finding yourself stranded.
  16. BargainHunterAK47's avatar
Does anyone know when this OFFER EXPIRES PLEASE
    mb1's avatar
Seems to be a deal the AA are happy to leave be. If you click on the person who first posted the deal , then it's been live for quite a while now and the AA haven't killed the link. Which makes me convinced they won't care if I call them out having purchased earlier. (edited)
  17. shree_ganeshayanama's avatar
If I have different insurance can I purchase breakdown only ??
  18. mohamed.husseindCs's avatar
If I already have a good annual deal expiring in 2 months. Will it renew on its own with the same previous deal? Or I have to find a new one like this post? Thanks.
    iby_m1's avatar
It's most likely going to go up. Best to renew with this. That what I've done. I put start date as 25th May on mine
  19. stealth666's avatar
On sat a market trader had a blow out on his transit, AA response time 5hrs... Thought it was pretty poor tbh... Was with AA for years but got too greedy, RAC thrashed em (family cover, recovery) on renewing the RAC, same price... aa said they'd match but stuck with RAC.
    robmiller667's avatar
My RAC renewal quote went up a hundred quid, no call outs during the cover so why the hike?
  20. Rahh's avatar
Have you noticed they are starting to ask for your DOB and postcode? Then pricing the Breakdown cover differently
  21. ruheluddin86's avatar
Has anyone got the breakdown parts cover - any good? How easy is it to claim? (edited)
    iby_m1's avatar
It's really good. But the claim needs to be approved by an AA person. So, you breakdown, the AA come andsee they can't fix it, they'll give you some paper with the info of the call out. You then ring an approved garage and they claim from AA and carry out the work. My last claim, the car wasn't even broken down... it was making noises, and I felt it was u safe to drive. The AA guy came and found the problem, but couldn't fix it. As so... I got it fixed with the method I described. Paid £35 in total. Well worth it. Finding a garage that approves AA work was a bit tough though

Ah, if a battery dies, they'll just replace it there and then for that £35 excess.

Does this work for private hire taxis ?
    Teza511's avatar
From what I’ve read in the terms no.
  23. Itz-Huzzy's avatar
Does anybody know when this offer expires?
  24. suley786's avatar
Any recommendations? Been with auto aid but it’s lapsed so need a new cover, auto aid is now around the £60 mark my cars a 15 plate so as of next year it will have the £20 call out fee hoping I don’t need. Pay here for the aa any car policy at £80 or specific car for £75 or just save the pennies and go auto aid.
    Wammer's avatar
Did you cancel the auto renewal with AutoAid? Last year I opted out, but they still took it. The renewal was over £90 this year. They had included a charge for cars over 16 years old, but my car wasn't. easy to miss and opt out of if you didn't notice. I opted out again via their website and will be keeping an eye on my credit card to make sure they didn't take it.

Try Start Rescue, which is Which? recommended. (edited)
  25. Trax's avatar
Thanks OP. Called them to make sure the autorenewal didn't kick in on expiry. All good so far.
  26. John1952's avatar
Bought thanks, was quoted £80 yesterday over the phone and paid £40 today. Renewal is due 1st May.
  27. humdan424's avatar
Bought it for £40 thanks. Still waiting for their email
  28. Wiseguyme's avatar
I have received a renewal quote from AA which is £13 a month. Would I be able to use this? Has anyone asked them not to renew and then bought this?
  29. Nikhil_Bhatia's avatar
Got single vehicle + home + national + onward journey for £75
  30. GrabbaBargain's avatar
Nice one. Just paid £30 for personal cover after they sent a renewal letter asking for £105 for same cover + onward travel that I paid £35 last year via an offer on here.

Think I did same last year, paid £30 then they offered the onward travel upgrade via an email offer for an extra £5, so will see if they do same this time.
    Wiseguyme's avatar
Did you cancel your renewal before getting this offer? I have also received an email saying that the renewal price will be higher. How do I go about getting this deal?
  31. Charger1969's avatar
Heat, used this last year and got personal cover for 20 quid just got renewal 126 quid so just done it through this for another year for 30 quid, I used it twice in a year on 2 cars so bargain!!
    barry55's avatar
Do you have car insurance with them also?
  32. barry55's avatar
Existing insurance customers only guys don't forget

Even though it says this, there's nothing in the actual T&C's of the contract from what I've read.

Still better off going with Auto Aid or Eversure. They cover you and your spouse or live-in partner in any car you/they drive, including roadside recovery, home start and onward travel, plus mis-fuelling cover and help if you're stuck (for example, in snow/mud). All for £57.50
  35. labyyrinth's avatar
Paid £100 last year to theAA for home start National and onward travel this year £234 called up and was offered a £3 discount. Time to leave only used them twice for punctures. Time to look at start rescue or Auto aid. Good price I don't have AA insurance not worth the risk (edited)
    Mohamedali's avatar
Does AA do puncture repairs? Or do they just put the spare wheel on for you?
    Kind regards
  36. Zikohh's avatar
