I have been after one of these and I couldn't find them cheaper than £16-17 on amazon. They are £10 in asda for this colour or £12.50 for the Byron 2.0

  • SAFE and SEALED: The Snap Seal technology is designed for an easy, one-handed drinking experience; when you're done sipping, simply snap the lid closed for leak-proof protection anywhere you go
  • ICE COLD OR PIPING HOT: Thermalock double-wall vacuum insulation keeps temperatures locked in for hours; drinks stay hot up to 9 hours or cold up to 21 hours, on the go, in the office or outdoors
  • DURABLE: High-quality travel mug, BPA-free plastic lid and vacuum insulated stainless steel body; the sweat proof design makes sure your liquids stay in the bottle, not on the outside
  • EASY TO CLEAN: Dishwasher-safe lid hinges open completely for easy cleaning (one connected piece, no separate parts to take apart or misplace); hand wash vacuum flask body
  • IDEAL FIT: The thermal mug provides easy and convenient one-handed drinking for both left- and right-handed users, and fits most car cup-holders: Size: 8 x 8 x 25 cm; Capacity 720 ml; Weight 390 g
  • Note:Please note that no or improper cleaning of the product after the usage can make the bottle to lose quality

why do people think a brand name keeps the temparature hotter for longer, a double walled aluminium cup regardless of brand name will work fine 99% of the time, unelss you must drink your coffee exactly 11 hours after making it. (edited)

    Brand association.

This is one of a very few products I would go out of my way to recomend. Very reliable and mine has taken a bit of a beating over the last 2 years.

I can't comment on the price but if it helps anyone make a decision to buy or not, I've had a Contigo (different model) for a few years now. Never leaked, keeps drinks hot for hours, and has taken a fair beating. It was a branded freebie from a company and has quickly become the best freebie I've ever received, despite being relatively cheap compared to some corporate giveaways! If I was in the market for something like this, I'd definitely consider a Contigo again. Hopefully the next freebie will be a YETI though

Brand is good. Specific model is bad.

Try and get the ones with the AutoSeal lid instead.

Far less prone to leaks, accidental openings, and also seem to be a little better at retaining heat too.

Additionally, you drink directly from the hole on the AutoSeal ones meaning you can easily and confidently drink when walking or onboard a moving car, bus or train for example. These SnapSeal ones do not. I made the mistake of trying to drink from one on the tube and as I was thrown into a bend on the track I managed to wet every part of my body except for my mouth!

I think I had the auto seal cup prior to buying this type from Asda 2 weeks ago.
I'd lost mine on a construction site somewhere after having it a couple of years.
This newer one doesn't keep my tea or coffee hot for as long, I'm not sure why though as it looks identical to my old one apart from the lid.

The best cups ever in my opinion, can get replacement o rings from 'zon if necessary.I have a very old larger size but it got too worn / damaged so now use the smaller size as unable to find direct replacement

I got one! Doesn't keep temperature as thermos. Thermos all the way!

I'm more after the leakproof capabilities tbh rather than temperature as i don't need it hot for hours, it just needs to survive being chucked around in a big handbag I haven't had the chance to use it with a hot drink yet but i have tested it with water and it seems to be completely leakproof so far! I got two of them last year and have been greatly disappointed, I expected a lot but after 2hrs the coffee became luke warm, also I noticed on one of them last week that rust had appeared on the lip, they look great but overpriced for what they are. (edited)

You must have a faulty product, i have two autoseals and one snap seal, make coffee at 7:30am, and very hot for a number of hours. Easily drink at a good temperature at 1pm lunch

Good offer if you’re planning a food shop. If you’re looking to buy this on its own online, expect a 50p charge for the slot and a £3 surcharge for orders under £25. Or £4.50 delivery to your door.

You can get them on Amazon for £16 so will be getting it from there instead. (edited)

I picked one up about three months back and have used it half a dozen times. I personally prefer to remove the lid altogether when drinking though; the drink hole is too messy IMO and I also get the ‘rubbery’ taste from the lid.
That aside, it seems to hold heat well.

I confirm, these do not leak if used properly

I got one of these about 6 months ago, and after a couple weeks of use haven't touched it since. The bit you drink out of is a bit awkward and burnt my mouth a lot before getting used to it lol. Sat on the side of the sink and hasn't moved

Like a few others are saying: these are the best leak proof, heat retaining travel mugs I've ever used. Would happily pay £20. I still regularly use one I bought about 6 years ago

Fantastic product. I was gifted one a couple of Xmas ago. It gets used daily and is still going strong. IF anything keeps drinks TOO hot. I get into the habit of letting drinks cool slightly before putting the lid on.
