Can buy a Bluetooth OBD2 Diagnostics dongle for cheaper. Help the neighbors too if they have issue as well then.

Halfrauds tend to find issues and scaremonger you into having unnecessary work done. That's my personal experience. Similar to the Kwikfit branches.

110% agree. Told me. My exhaust was falling off, far from it, was actuality perfectly fine.

Had halfords mot, was told battery needed changing soon. Did battery check at one of their stores 2 weeks later, they said its fine. Ha

They shouldn’t charge more than 10£

Maybe I've just been lucky but never had an issue from them. Used to use them all the time with Tesco vouchers for MOT and Service. They never seemed to do unnecessary work. They told me a few times I had some oil around my Turbo but advised it didn't seem to be getting worse so don't worry but keep an eye on it. They serviced my daughters old kia this year, and again did not recommend any extra work (which they could easily have done). That said, these diagnostic checks should really be free. (edited)

Save your money. I can already tell you the outcome. It will be a fail
just like when they check the brand new tyre you put on a few weeks ago and they tell you it's worn.

It will be worn.. just maybe not worn out.

You usually need to spend ~£100? for a code reader that reads the modules of alot of vehicles but its so absolutely worth it because not only can you get your own diagnostic read out but you can turn functions on and off to test their functionality and get LIVE data to see fault. Plus alot of them have life time updates for life so its a tool for life..
