Bagging a patch of sand is hassle-free at this place. It boasts a private beach, complete with squashy sunbeds and thatched parasols. The AQI Venus Beach also has its own waterpark, packed with slides, chutes and flumes. Little ones get their own mini version, built with a rainbow-hued castle. There are another two pools, as well. Restaurant-wise, you’ve got a pair to choose from – a buffet number and an à la carte that opens for dinner. A lobby bar, bingo and a nightly cabaret show take care of your evenings.

Pools
There’s a splashing spot for everyone here. The main pool’s really roomy, and comes lined with sunloungers and palm trees. Another comes with a separate kids’ section and pretty fountains. A nearby snack bar rolls out drinks and quick eats. The waterpark's packed out with slides – including racing lanes, corkscrews and a plughole. Tinies have a splash park all to themselves, as well – it’s got a turreted castle in the middle, with baby slides and mushroom sprays.

Food & Drink
The Olive Trees restaurant dishes up a buffet when it’s time to eat. Show-cooking stations add extra pizazz, and you can chow down al fresco on the terrace if you fancy it.

Entertainment
Cabaret shows and themed nights are on the evening timetable. Or you can try your luck at bingo. Kids can learn all the routines at the mini-disco. Two watering holes are at the ready for after-dark shenanigans. One’s in the lobby, and you’ll find another in the hotel's disco which keeps the party going until the wee hours.

Sports & Activities
There’s a really cool mix of things to do – like archery and beach volleyball. Younglings can go to the kids’ club, which puts on face-painting and team games.

Health & Beauty
The spa’s got a hot tub, an indoor pool and a relaxation zone. You can plump for treatments like massages*, facials* and manicures*.

Facility Summary
There’s a stand-out pool scene – a flume-filled waterpark and a huge kids’ pool's just the start of it. You’re footsteps from a golden-sand beach, too. Food-wise, you’ve got the main buffet for mealtimes, as well as an à la carte that's open at dinnertime. The lobby bar sorts you out for drinks in the evenings, and you can take in a cabaret show, too. Dance classes, football and aqua aerobics are on the activity list, and little ones have a packed agenda at the kids’ club, too.

Rooms
All rooms come with a mini-fridge, a safety deposit box*, centralised air-conditioning and free Wi-Fi. You’ve got a number of different views to choose from, a pool view, limited sea view, a garden view, a sea view or a waterpark view. For a bit extra you can upgrade to have a superior twin room.

I hated it. Went with a blonde girlfriend, and the locals practically assaulted her every time we left the hotel - we liked to visit the markets but stopped after a couple of attempts as we were both harassed. Tried the local beach but were approached many times by people selling weed. The taxi drivers took deliberately long routes to increase their fares.... we ended up just staying at the hotel for the last few days. Wouldn't go back

Saw few good deals on Tunisian holidays. How safe is to travel there?

I was last there (Sousse) in Nov/ Dec. If its safe for a 59 year old woman then I'm sure you'll be ok lol. I think so many ppl are put off but it all depends where you go,remember it's not Benidorm/Marmaris and have common sense. The people are so lovely and it's cheap. Sousse/Port el kantaoui very safe and the same for the beaches.I'm always surprised reading about 'dodgy' shopkeepers/taxi drivers because I never experienced that. If you know what to expect then there's no problem. I went on a trip an hour and half away by using local transport and yea i was the only foreigner but I survived. This was my first trip there and I'm hoping to go for a month in Sept for my birthday
A side note. The shopkeepers in the souks are always pushy and it's a well known fact. You just tell them no and walk off (edited)

We went in November a group of lads. Met many Brits solo girls actually one of them was 22 and she went back in Feb. It's safe and nice I can confirm.
