sorted byThe only downside is the SOC, it is the Unisoc T606 processor, which isn't the fastest and you only have 4GB of ram but you can extend with an additional 2GB of virtual ram but I don't have this feature activated. Decent phone and it is fully repairable with iFixit guides and tools.
Screen isn't amazing resolution but it does have a brightness boost for use in the sun / bright conditions and can boost up the screen up to 500 nits brightness.
Security updates are due to end in April 2026.
The lack 5G is a bit of a downside, if you get the G42 5G version, this has been updated to Android 14 already and it has a better Qualcomm SD480+ SOC.
For the price, this is a decent phone, if you don't want to get a Xiaomi with lots of bloatware installed instead. Battery life is very good, witgh light usage you can get 3 days out of it. (edited)

Weakest link being the screen but at this price point what can you expect.. Have some heat
