Thanks for sharing your first deal @oliver_chambers (y)

No worries.
I can't say I've looked tbh mate, sorry
Thanks @MrSwitch Have you seen any camera reviews on the Nokia 5.4 yet?. I can’t seem to find anything detailed just the odd few words here & there. It’s a fairly new phone so not everyone tested yet eg techradar Thanks :-)
Has anyone tried ordering this? When I click "add to shopping bag" it doesn't work.
It was for a friend, not my choice!! I'll ask him ;)

Not a bad deal OP, heat added! Personally, I would prefer the mobile on its own and back down to under £300 again. No rush though (y)
Had mine for 2 months now. And it's been fine, my old 7 plus had the old loose charge port issue in the end, but I've got a magnetic cable now, so leave the adaptor in the phone all the time and us a magnetic charge cable, so don't have to keep plugging and unplugging a cable all the time.. only issue which has now been fixed was an error with the camera that kept crashing, but update has now fixed this. Soon.much better than the 7 plus. Battery life is good, and camera is superb..
Very tempted by this but Nokia's reputation for charging port issues has anyone got any experience with this model
Thanks (y)
thats been happing on all the QVC deals for about the past couple of weeks but go to www.qvcuk.com & type in 521103 & this will come up

For still pictures edited after its amazing but for everyday photography with moving kids, pets etc it can't stabilise all those cameras as it uses data from all 5 in a final result
I feel physically sick now. I’m definitely this. The camera setup on this phone makes me want to puke (zombie) Thanks a bunch Switchy (mad)
Ps I got my Huawei P20 Pro from 4gadgets a few months ago when mrSwitch posted the deal in the summer, thank you mrSwitch it's one of my favourite phones and I easily prefer it to my s10
Sorry for spelling errors, I meant to say * " just under 200 quid for a phone "
I had a Nokia 7 plus and had this device, I installed gcam on both devices and the camera software is comparatively weak vs gcam on these phones, the Nokia 7+ took far superior photos, this may have been something to do with having the same chipset as the pixel so greater compatibility, I would reccomend anyone that wants to spend just under 20p quid on a phone and wants a good camera to but a Huawei P20 Pro or mate 20 Pro, the camera is very good bang for buck and you may use Google services unlike the later Huawei phones

Damn, sorry, I'll expire
Ordered then they cancelled it as OOS
I had this phone and it was really good untill the screen ghosting issue started. They use LG panels on these I believe and it's a common problem.
Mine has this problem, have to use a headset if I need to call. My wife doesn't, but has a problem that won't charge if you let battery drop below 15%. Otherwise great phones for the price.

ok, I got my unlock code today, phone unlocked and now ready to use properly
Appreciate the suggestion but there was definitely no screen protector fitted on it.. Offered a full refund which i took..
They usually have a factory fitted screen protector. The scratch could be in that not the screen?
I did, I sent it last night, they have expected Fri 7th August, seems a little too long, but will have to wait until then before contacting eBay
Last Wednesday?! Hm...I've ordered code on Friday and received my code on Tuesday ( could be earlier but it was weekend so that's why I've been waiting a little bit longer )... Maybe you should send some question to the seller ?

Seems to be ok. Debating buying another being as the 4.2 offer posted yesterday has now expired.
Good news that you got it. All good with it?
Phone arrived today by DPD. Total time from order to delivery was 19 days which is crap from France, but ok from China.
Well this morning the status changed from 'paid' to 'shipped out' and there is a tracking number but doesn't say who the courier is. Hopefully it will arrive today or Monday...
Ah, so I guess it was a generic message then. Still maybe it's a good sign - might mean they've actually dispatched them all now and just haven't updated the order info? If you ordered a few days after me, perhaps yours will update over the next few days? They're clearly capable of sending the goods - mine was delivered perfectly packaged and labeled etc. There just seems to be a major issue with communicating when they're going to do it. If you do get to the stage of finally getting a tracking number, make sure they have your mobile number - it wasn't clear from the tracking website where the parcel was, and it was only because DPD texted me on the day that I made sure I was in to receive it.

I've thrown mine across the room a hundred times in the last two years and the screen doesn't even show a scratch. There's more damage to the back which is under a plastic cover than there is on the screen.
PLAYWITH10 makes it £85
If you want a spare let me know. Only the faulty port isn't working
I've had my 7 plus for 2 years now and has been faultless apart from me dropping it and cracking the screen but still works fine
Yes, as I said above, it takes up to 256GB.

How do you know for sure? Anyone you know whose warranty had expired was successful in getting a free replacement like this? Also, was it free to return? In other words, did you have to pay delivery charges or did Nokia cover it / provided a freepost address?
It was like a month within it. Though because it's a common problem, if you fill in the online form and send it back, they usually just sort it out.
Ooh, that's excellent, was it still under warranty? Others, who's warranties expired when it happened, got nothing.
This happened to me. Contacted Nokia and they replaced it with an upgraded model and dual sim one. Still love the phone.
EE/Nokia Never again

OOS
Chinese investors could well be behind some of that venture capital (FIH Mobile = Foxconn) https://www.quora.com/Who-owns-Foxconn?top_ans=1606680
Thanks I'm a bit more relieved if they're own by Taiwan (until china roll in the tanks)
Not sure that is accurate, heard that Foxconn (Taiwan) has stepped up investment in HMD Global more recently '(HMD Global) is owned by a private fund called Smart Connect LP, registered in Luxemburg, under the leadership of ex-Nokia executive Jean-Francoise Baril.' https://www.androidguys.com/tips-tools/who-is-hmd-global/
Nokia owned by a china company (the phone making side, not the telecommunications equipment side)

Morning! (y) :D
Used Grade B second hand phone? It will be covered in scratches across the screen, case and be full of germs etc. £137 is a rip off.
You too, apologies if not intended target - must be in a bad mood today
I'm probably gonna leave this here, you have yourself a nice day. Hot deal OP, hope everyone gets a good unit (y)
Ooh. :)

Had this phone for around 2-3 months, the battery would NEVER last a full day, would be lucky to even get past 8 hours with more than 20% battery left. Everytime you take a picture, it takes 3-5% of battery away too, probably with the sheer amount of processing its having to do. The fingerprint reader was also unusable. If they could've sorted out those 2 things, it'd be a brilliant phone. Gave up with it in the end and went to a Mate 20 Pro for around £300 when they were doing a cashback promotion, get through a full day with more than 50% battery most days with it. Pictures are amazing too
I had the issue on my Nokia 8 twice (and apart from that it's a cracking phone). Had to return to Nokia in Hungary. First time got a new screen fitted (even though the issue is on the motherboard..). That worked for 3 months then went again. Still under 2 years warranty sent back again. This time they advised that they had no spare parts as a result they sent me a new phone, and to top it all they had no more of the 64gb model so I got a 128gb model as an upgrade for free. 6 months in and no issues, but it has taken away a little from an otherwise excellent phone, and I say that as someone who came from LG after suffering from Bootloop on the also otherwise excellent G4. Not sure where I'll go on the next phone might go to the 9 if it has no issues..or just bite the bullet and go Pixel or OnePlus.
Kept the phone for less than a month. Loved the clean UI, the build quality and the responsiveness. Apart that, appalling fingerprint sensor and very, very disappointing camera, for quality and operation.
When is the new iphone coming?
Indeed, it is the joke that keeps on giving. :D

Bought the airpods 2 thru this.. £75. Hopefully quality is okay
Wow, proper result, you're welcome.
My Honor play arrived this morning and I have to say I'm very very pleased. For grade B it's excellent not a mark on it, in retail box and with accessories. Thanks again MrSwitch.
For some reason the code is not working. I will try again in a few hours. Thanks once again. Much appreciated.
Worth a look https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/392059382269

Yeah I suppose :3 Just me probably (unicorn)
Lol, that's a fair enough point there too I guess?.
Who needs a phone with a spare battery with the surge cheap large capacity powerbanks, rapid fast charge and powersave and ultra powersave built into latest smart phones?
BINGO!!, I couldn't agree with you more there. :-D Roll on the smartphone version of the original Nokia 3310, from back in the Day ... The only thing that championed it at the time (ofcourse), was it's immediate successor, the Nokia 3330. :-D Ahhhhhhhhh, the age of when pay&go phone's in this Country was now coming of age, lol. And has since done a full circle upon itself too. :-) That aside though, everybody wants the phone sleeker, slimmer, sexier, and ... The realty is (fortunately/unfortunately), is, something has to 'give', right?. And that would inevitably be the abilities for you to so easily remove the batteries from your own phone's now, etc, right?. But though, if you aren't necessarily bothered with bothering yourself with any of them (arguably) frivolous thing's anymore?, then ofcourse ... (Good or bad), that's literally the nature of game now, I guess? :-D But alas, life ... hehehe.
I love smartphones with removable battery as can have 1 or 2 spare and usually there is an external charger available, so you always have a spare fully charged one to swap in (strong)

They are offering 15% discount at checkout about £76 plus 3x nectar points
I thought HMD leased the name rather than buying them out.
I really liked my N7 ... I replaced it with a P30 and while it's quicker with a brighter screen I find the Nokia more usable. It just works 100% solid. Dunno, I kinda regret the upgrade now. P30 is fine but I went from £11/month Sim only on the Nokia (cost £200) to £34/month with the free P30.
That's interesting because I had a couple of Nokia 8s a while back and one had that dull grey thing you describe, really washed out and miserable looking. I wondered if it had been refurbished with a bad panel and the seller didn't tell me. The other had really good punchy colours, but then the charging port on that was useless.
Yep same with mine

Quality of the case and screen protector (tempered glass) seem as expected, decent for the price. Phone battery is reporting 92% of original design capacity via the AccuBattery app.
All continuing to seem good with this phone (way above my expectation of the Grade C description). I'm starting to quite like the smaller form factor compared to my Nokia 7 Plus. Shame it's 3GB RAM / 32GB storage compared to 4GB / 64GB in the 7 Plus, but most of the time I probably won't notice the RAM difference (maybe less background apps open). A few nice differences in Android 10 already, the 7 Plus should catch up in the next couple of months. Anyway, unbelieveable bargain for £51! As I actually now care about preserving the great condition I've ordered a cheapy bumper and screen protector (£3.19 on eBay) - https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/For-Nokia-7-1-Case-Clear-Gel-Cover-Glass-Screen-Protector/352674040484 Can comment when they arrive (by Monday) as to the quality, expecting basic.
No didnt come with a charger
Great. Did yours come with a charger? (See my comment above).
Recieved mine today and the condition i would say it excellent only 1 little mark on the corner no marks or scratches on front or back

Received a Nokia 8 by mistake. Be careful you don't get the older model.
Nokia done a great job making these handsets feel quality
The Moto G8 Plus doesn't have optical stabilisation (the G7 Plus does!?!), so I'd expect this to be a bit better for images.
Cheers buddy.
We use some of these at work for testing. I have to say I prefer these to my iPhone 11! Great deal MrsWitch (as usual).

Can you clarify...Wondering if the comment is relevant to this model or more generally? I've had a Nokia 8 for over a year and it's been great all round including battery life and quick charging speed. (P.s.old skool Nokia 311 etc used to last weeks ;) )
I would stay away from Nokia smartphones. Their battery life and quality is very bad.
I started a PayPal dispute after a month of no dispatch and then suddenly they decided to send them and gave tracking details. By the time PayPal had messed around the buds had arrived and so my case was cancelled. I've not had problems with any other site ordering mobiles etc
PayPal resolved all my problems, so that's a bonus if ordering.
Wouldn't consider them either. I've received fake AKG earbuds that were horrific and one set only worked on one channel. Then received multiple dashcams that were total junk that recorded in 240 or perhaps 480 interpolated rather than the advertised 1080. I thought they'd (TomTop) been banned previously, due to all the negative feedback?

Seen these on at the moment with the code for £80. Did anyone buy - how was the grade C description compared to the phone receeived?
The days of Nokia... I mean one of the biggest there was ... Had lots of cash but they were stupid. Never embraced the big screen. To be fair even Steve Jobs said iPhone 4 screen is the perfect size and no one needs anything bigger when the note first came out. 8210... Classic phone. . The days when one change would last a week... And if you had the money .. the 8850!
Thank you, Nokia store it is then. Your link leads to 'Take me Shopping' but the offer of clear case is there if one starts from scratch : "Nokia G11 + Nokia Clear CasePower through with up to 3 days of battery life. Get a free 100% recycled case for a limited time."
Thanks it's a great find, but at the moment if you buy direct from Nokia you get a free case and free delivery. https://www.nokia.com/phones/en_gb/cart
According to Argos website for the same phone for the same price : All the latest features with 2-years of OS upgrades, and 3 years of monthly security updates.
I wish they were regular! My Nokia 5.3 is on December 2021 update and April 2021 Google Play update - it's not even 2yrs since they released it! Monthly updates were the USP of Nokia when they relaunched but that seems to have fallen by the wayside, along with a decline is build quality each year. Now I can't think of any reason to pick Nokia over any other brand, which is gutting for somebody who was a huge Nokia fan.
