Swissair flights from Bristol Airport to Bangkok via Zurich for £395 with Swissair. You can also book through Expedia as a package with hotel. Other dates are available for September and October for similar prices. Prices drop to £369 if you book via Travel up on Google Flights, but I booked via Expedia. There is an overnight layover on return flight, so an airport hotel is required. Ibis budget nearby is £90 a night.

    By the time you add hold luggage £59 ew(maybe x4, didn't check that far), choose your seat 4x1£12, overnight hotel, it would come to probably around £800 or more, definitely not a bargain imo, cheaper, quicker to go LHR. Etihad flight 2hr40m and 1hr25m stopovers @ £551 inc baggage(seat will be extra) on 12/9 to 12/10, checked 5 minutes ago, Skyscanner, odirect for just over £700. LHR maybe further away for you and a little more expense, but worth it imo (edited)

    EVA Air used to be my fav direct Ldn to Bkk, the Taiwanese hostesses had amazing eyes BTW, not to mention cheekbones...
