About this deal

Vote as you please, though help a brother out with links please.

Not for everyone. This beast is really for pros; Cad workers, architects, engineers, 3D animators, large point cloud files etc. It's heavy, it's big and its awesome. I don't game so can't help the gamers here but you're better off building your own rig. Equivalent desktops will always outperform laptops.

3 years onsite warranty
30 day returns

Thanks for posting - I had no idea that such things existed. No doubt, CEOs reading this will be having their PA phone IT in the morning. You know the type - must have a better laptop than anyone else, even though it is never switched on and their PA prints out their emails...

Be quick - they are down to their last one....

Screen is only 60hz and very low res compared to everything else.

It's 4k display, for use as a workstation laptop. not a gaming machine. To reiterate, it is optimised for professional software, not gaming I'm afraid.

Those voting cold, I'd appreciate links to alternatives please. Would help me out sourcing something better.

What's the battery operated running time? Two or three hours, tops? I suspect that many are down-voting it as being such an impractical, niche, product. Working environments without a mains socket nearby, that need this sort of computing power present and not just accessible over the internet, are quite rare. A fairly modest laptop can act as an "X Windows" terminal back to something far more powerful than this and give you battery operation for an entire working day. So, you could consider that as an alternative, possibly.

How is this better than an iPad with a keyboard? For this much, I can get 2, maybe 3..

Try using revit with point cloud data. Ipads are great, we have them in our offices too for sketching and taking photos but you can't use revit and certainly won't be able to handle a 80gb file.

Gimmicky GPU. They're just rebrands. My legion 7 pro, Ryzen 9 with rtx 4090 was much cheaper than this.

This isn't a gaming laptop, it is for business applications

also when yours breaks Lenevo won't come to your house the next day. It is for business users, not gamers / home users. (edited)
