Guy extension Alex is 6757. It will take around 20 minutes to fully book with them as they do all pre departure details, etc, with you over the phone. And if you have MSC voyager number, have it handy as it will speed up things (edited)
The main dining room serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. No need to go to the buffet and far nicer to have your food brought to you in a civilised way, rather than have to go find it.
Most cruise lines allow smoking in the Casino - though i think MSC are now phasing that out (thank goodness).
Buying a package up front saves money. You can get the Premium Plus drinks package for £29 a day if taken at the time of booking.
Same with speciality restaurants - all of which are very worth doing.
But premium drinks package (all drinks up to £14 without restrictions) is £35pppd if booked at the time of booking which is absurdly good value if you like that sort of thing (by which I mean drinking). 2 coffees, two soft drinks, 2 beers and a cocktail and you’re already ahead (edited)
I loved the ship. Very impressive.
All the recent reviews are 1 or 2 stars, avoid.

"MSC Virtuosa is a beautiful ship but unfortunately a year down the line it has turned
We have been on Virtuosa and loved it. I think the trick is definitely to not go during school holiday periods and to go on a 7 nighter. That attracts more experienced cruisers who dont try to everything everywhere all at once. Also the ships dont run at anywhere near capacity when its not high season.
Also i really dont get why people insist on going to the buffet, particularly at peak times. They are always bedlam. The main dining room is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner and is a far more civilised affair.
Also theres a couple of bars on board that people seem to swarm to, whereas other bars sit almost empty. We just go to the quieter bars.
We're on Virtuosas sister ship next Sunday for a week around Norway from Copenhagen. That'll be our third MSC cruise, and we've another 3 booked too.
As sometimes these deals are better than dedicated solo traveler deals!
