Yes lots of Starbucks discounting in the supermarkets recently.

Just got a Nespresso classic machine and haven't used it yet. Need to get some pods. Are the flavours in this bundle nice, or are they trying to offload less popular ones?

Also is 5 the least intense? Seemed to go from 5 to 11 from what I saw. Mrs likes stronger coffee, but I'm weak, I like a smoother cup and definitely no fruity flavours. Tacky vanilla and caramel flavours work for me! (edited)

Tried many types of Nespresso pods, all brands and their Sumatra my absolute favourite, the others are decent enough without being spectacular

Unfortunately not, the reason Nespresso have abandoned making the original pod machines is to try and get everyone onto the Vertuo machines, as they still have the patent on the capsules and so can charge ridiculous prices for these.

The original pods are no longer covered under the patent, so other makers offer their own compatible pods at far more reasonable prices. Other manufacturers such as L'or also make machines for the old style pods (they had a recent offer for the machine with 200 free pods for £79.99)

These are completely sealed in aluminium, they will never go bad if stored correctly. The best before is just a guideline, ignore if it is a deal. I've been buying out of date capsules from Discount Dragon for years, absolutely no issues or difference in taste. (edited)

Having tried lots of the pod options, I've found the Starbucks varieties taste among the worst for taste. Even the Aldi own brand taste better.
Dualit and L'or are decent and I've managed to pick these up for around 15p per capsule on recent offers (edited)

Disagree, these are made by Nespresso with Starbucks branding. Outside of the original pods these are the best you can get.

Aldi own are disgusting, watery and low quality. Dualit and L'or are both insipid and lacking depth. I guess you like your cheap pods flavourless.

deals like this make me wish i still had a nespresso machine. went bean-to-cup years ago, but still misss the convenience of not having to wash the coffee machine every week. Plus get to choose flavours and not have the same bean for weeks on end.
