sorted byThe problem is due to being a portable unit you will find they will need to cool the heat generated within the unit itself as well as cooling the room! Anything below 10,000 btu will cool but will be running all the time and will never switch off the air cooling part and just running on fan unless it's only in a very small room!
Reverse image search seems to be this one, so 5000BTU.

I hate myself for giving up, but I'm just going to try a chargeback via my credit card. I know I should persue this, but all I would say is read this thread before purchasing. It's hard to quote consumer law to a company that will not budge or allow complaints or escalation.
I'm at a loss to know how this is possible.
