For occasional printer users laser printers are so much better than inkjet. No clogging nozzles, no dried up print heads and no chucking the thing away every 2.4 years because you don't use it enough.

For some users, this will be much better longer term value than a £40 inkjet.

This! IMHO still worth having a laser printer (at this price) even if you already own an inkjet. In addition to no clogging nozzles your prints will remain clear and smudge free, since toner is not water soluble like ink.

i have this exact printer, got it from ebay new but opened for almost the same cost about a year ago. cannot reccomend it enough. toner is very cheap for the 3rd party ones, and it never causes any problems, it always just works (unlike any printer ive owned previously, especially HP instant ink ones which are the single worst product known to man)

    Agree!!
I have this printer for 6-7years now and it still works like brand new!

Bought this a few months ago on a deal here, don't care about lack of wireless as I only use it sporadically, the Brother app installs firmware updates via the USB cable, very easy. Nice quality prints, cheap toner - and it's really quite tiny. I love it & thoroughly recommended

Bear in mind that you can get this from Viking for £70 minus 15% as a first purchase. So, you'll get it for under £60. TCB won't work as you use Viking discount code.

You could go through nectar for a bucket load of points instead if you wanted though

I've had this exact printer for 10 years. Last 3 years I've had black spots on out put. I've replaced cartridge twice with genuine & generic. To tip you have yo press reset button 7 times to recognise compatible cartridge. (edited)

I have mine for 6-7 years never had a problem with cartridges (always buy generic ones). Black spots are likely to be dust - had the same problem but found a video online how to clean it- and works like new again.

This is a good printer. We have had two at home for five years, paid £39. One became faulty smearing ink; however, the other is still going

    The third-party cartridge is cheap.

If I have to replace it, I will look for this model. It is small.

Not wireless....a plus in my opinion
    jinx121's avatar
And you can always make it wireless by attaching a raspberry pi or any sbc if you have one lying around.

I have this printer. It's a pretty old model and doesn't give great quality output, but good enough for general printing
